AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE

Nationwide Awards and Recognition Program

Recognizing Top Relay Participation It is with great pleasure and appreciation that we recognize the efforts and accomplishments of individuals and communities who help fuel the mission of the American Cancer Society through Relay For Life. Recognition is not just “a good thing to do”, it is a critical component in how we acknowledge, value, and thank our volunteers for their time and commitment to making a difference - - helping to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. While no award can adequately recognize all that Relay volunteers achieve in their efforts to eliminate cancer, the Society offers the Relay For Life Nationwide Awards and Recognition Program as a tribute to some of the nation’s most outstanding participants. The awards highlight the success of individuals, teams, committees, and events that define the hallmark of Relay, and serve to inspire others across the nation. Those recognized as nationwide Relay For Life award winners represent the very essence of what it means to be a Relay For Life volunteer and a community that takes up the fight! So, to Relayers everywhere, on behalf of the American Cancer Society and those we serve, THANK YOU for all you do in the fight against cancer. Together we are making a difference!

Reuel Johnson,

Winners in each category are announced to Division Relay lead staff via email in October. Awards are announced and presented to the winners at a time determined by each Division.
