Rationale Health and wellness is one of the biggest trends of the 21st Century. Activities geared at physical fitness, longevity of life, holistic wellness etc are undertaken more now than ever. It is with this in mind that the St. Andrew Prep School has decided to stage its March 2012 Bike-a-thon and Wellness Expo at the Hope Gardens. This event will be a fundraiser for two charities and one St. Andrew Prep School Project as well as contributions from the event will be made to the Hope Gardens’ Development Fund. In essence it will be a multi-beneficial event; as along with the school, the charities, Hope Gardens, sponsors, endorsers, boothholders and patrons alike will benefit from the day’s activities. It also promises to be a day of fun-filled activities.

Objective The St. Andrew Preparatory School Bike-a-thon and Wellness Expo 2012 is geared toward raising funds for the Autism Association of Jamaica, the Minna Carr Basic School and the St. Andrew Preparatory School Building Fund, while adding a positive and beneficial activity to the School’s annual program. Because of the genre of this event and its different aspects, it directly and indirectly benefits all stakeholders. This is a all day event and along with the obvious benefit to the charities, the school and Hope Gardens, Patrons acquire the health benefit, booth holders showcase and barter their wares, sponsors showcase there products and services as well as visibly and actively support four worthy causes, and the St Andrew Prep School facilitates and trademarks a wholesome family event that adds another annual activity for their students and parents. Our objective is to have the event annually.
