Brief Design a Drop one campaign that makes the target audience want to swap or drop an everyday item. Help me, Save Me, Protect me is a campaign aimed at children between the ages of 5-8, and is educating them about Palm oil and its effect on animals. The campaign is aimed at children so that they are able to pressure their parents to make a change. I chose Palm oil as my drop one product and focused on the effects on animals because it is often that we are unaware of were products come from and how they are created. Palm oil is a product found in alot of everyday food, it hurts animals as there natural habitat is destroyed in order for oil palm trees to be planted. Within this campaign I focused on children missing their parents, this idea is relatable to children as they all have that sudden panic when they can’t find their parents. Help me, Save me, Protect me is the journey of young animals on the quest to find their parents.

logo The logo is simple and easy to read for both kids an adults. It is confined in a square to represent the area of habitat of the animals for whom are losing it to the oil palm farms. The word ME is larger than Protect, save and help, this was done to emphasis that it is ‘Me’ who can make a change.

Colouring book The colouring book is used as an interactive story. It is used to involve children within the story so they can share it and involve there friends in it to spread the word. The story within the book is about a little orangutan who was lost after his forest was destroyed for oil palm trees and his search for his parents.

Trading /infomation cards These cards are trading / information cards they will be a game or a collectable item for kids to learn from. They will have the good and bad things about palm oil. The red cards are the bad effects and facts about palm oil. The green cards are the animals that have been hurt or nearly extinct from the impact of palm oil farms and some fun facs about the animals. They will teach kids about sustainable palm oil and how they can help make a difference.

Magazine Advertisement This will be a one page magazine advertisement, it will be in both childrens magazines as well as other types of magazines to encourage adults to help there children to make a change. The idea of the missing posters is to relate to them missing their parents in shopping malls and when they are out and about. This concept is used to relate to them and make them want to make a change by chosing sustainable palm oil.

tv advertisement storyboard This advertisement will be a stop motion of someone drawing the scenes similar to the colouring in book. It will make the story come alive and will both make the children interested but will involve them by doing the colouring in book. By using the images of the colouring in book it is both something familar if they already have the book but also inspiration on how to colour the animals and on how they can help. There will be a childs voice over that will reinforce the message by saying: Help me, Save me, Protect me from the oil palm farms that have destroyed our home and left us hurt, lost and homeless. Beware of products containing palm oil and chose sustainable palm oil that won’t hurt us.

Posters The posters share the same concept of the magazine article. I decided to keep these the same to keep it recognisable and simple for children. These will be a series of posters that will feature all animals endangered or affected by oil palm farms.
