BEST IN CLUB FACILITIES

Work progresses at Dolphins Central ORK on Dolphins W Central is progressing well.

Any member or visitor who has been to the club in the past month would have seen the walls go up on our new shopping centre on what was the Dolphin Oval training ground. Rain once again has dogged this project, however the contractors have stuck to their guns with the walls going up early June and the roofing nearing completion. As a club we are extremely excited about this development as we see

Dolphins Central as a significant revenue stream that will help ensure the future of the Dolphins.

Even just as pleasing is the increase number of inquiries for leasing possibilities. The centre’s position should suit many business and we look forward to a prosperous adventure. I am anticipating an opening ceremony in November. While on club operations, the Leagues Club has been trading well with a high level of patronage from our loyal members. Many members and their guests have been out enjoying the facilities we offer, whether it be dining, entertainment or

gaming, while the Dolphins Health Precinct has once again recorded good usage. The DHP can be extremely busy at high times during the day and has turned out to be great investment by our club. ★ ★ ★ ★ OUR Dolphins are desperate for a string of victories with some back-toback wins needed to ensure we make the Intrust Super Cup play-offs. If we can get on a roll and post some wins, I’m sure we will make an impact on the finals series. But we have to get there first. The players and coaching staff are looking for answers, however what we also must produce is action on the field. I know the players are working hard and they just need some consistency in

their performances to turn the corner. ★ ★ ★ ★ CONGRATULATIONS go out to outstanding Colt Richie Skelton, who has been selected for the Queensland under 18 side to play in the main curtain-raiser to Origin II.
