Divisionals (Klein Collins) June 30th-July 1st-End of Season Invitationals

End of Season Party (CPN)

*Forest Oaks Meet Results Wow! Another exciting meet! All the kids did awesome! Originally the score was reported as CP Stars 319.5 and Forest Oaks Barracudas 316.5 so it appeared to be a win.

However, a couple of days later it became apparent that there was an error on the Girls 11-12 Freestyle Relay. That race was recorded as a tie, but actually the Barracudas won that race and our girls were second resulting in a three point difference. So the final SCORE should have been recorded as a tie and not an overall win. The Barracudas’ question of the error was too late to actually change the results, but for the record the meet was a tie. Even still-GREAT JOB STARS! Please plan to attend the Divisional Meet; we need ALL swimmers in ALL age groups to make a good showing.

Divisional Meet Information Ok Stars, put your fast swimming arms and legs on for this weekend’s Divisional meet! This is your last chance to qualify for Invitationals. What is the Divisionals swim meet? Divisionals is not an optional meet but rather our end of season championship meet. We need all families to attend to have a successful outcome! The only criteria is that you have to have swum in two dual meets in order to participate This meet will be held at the Klein Collins High School pool on Ella Boulevard. Team Set-up will be in the Gym. (We will be responsible for our area cleanup at the end of the meet) Warm-ups will be at 7:45-8:10 Lanes 6, 7 and 8- Only The meet will start at 8:30 as usual. Typical concessions will be available for Breakfast and Lunch in the Commons area. Parents can view swimming from the stands, they ask that people rotate through and not set up for the whole day in the stands so that there is ample room for parents to view. No one will be allowed on deck that is not officiating or timing/scribing. Kent Miller will be coming to all with Volunteer responsibilities ASAP. **Those that purchased Divisional T-shirts will be able to get them from the coaches on Friday at practice or from JeanneMarie at the meet on Saturday. Our check-in time for Saturday is 7:15 am with scratch meeting at 7:45. The meet begins at 8:30. As soon as you get to the pool look for our team set-up area, find the designated check-in place and highlight your swimmer’s name on his/her specific clipboard so he/she won’t be scratched from the meet. **Please call Anne Davis at 713-304-3237 or

JeanneMarie Lesseraux at 713-817-4885 if you are planning to come but running late and will not be there by 7:45** Please remember to send your absence notification to Anne Davis at asap if you know you are unable to attend. If your swimmer is on a relay please do not leave the meet early and not tell the coaches. It is very disappointing to the others on the relay team to find out at the last minute that their team has been scratched. Encourage your swimmer to go over to the Coaches after their race for positive feedback! Note for Swim Finders: When you bring your age group of swimmers to the ready bench please stay with them until they are seated on the benches. This is a great crowd control help to the ready bench volunteers.

*Absence Notification Early in the week you will receive an e-mail from Anne Davis-Clerk of Course. When you get that e-mail please respond to her immediately if you know that you will not be at the meet. She will forward your note on to the coaches and others that need to be aware of your absence. This is VERY IMPORTANT and does save everyone time and also helps the meet get started on time. Thank you everyone for following this procedure. PLEASE NOTE; Even if you send Anne an absence notification your child will still show as entered in the meet.
