LST (LOW SHOCK TECHNOLOGY) CAMSHAFT PACKAGES ™

FOR GM LS APPLICATIONS

COMP Cams® LST™ (Low Shock Technology) Camshaft Packages for GM LS applications take the guesswork out of choosing the right valve train upgrade package for your specific engine and desired performance. The “Low Shock Technology” behind COMP Cams® LST™ Camshaft Packages features lobe profiles designed to maximize horsepower, while improving stability at higher RPM. These profiles are also easier on the valve springs, enhancing durability and reducing load loss. By Spintron® and dyno testing these new profiles with many combinations of valve train components, COMP Cams® engineers have created valve train packages that are perfectly matched for maximum horsepower and dependability in all popular LS applications with varying modifications. The resulting Stage 1 and Stage 2 LST™ Camshaft Packages can add 60 to 110 HP (depending on the application) and are available as a base Cam Kit (CK-Kit) or a more complete Master Kit (MK-Kit). See the cam charts starting below through page 6 for packages. Kit components are listed below, and for your convenience, we also offer optional LS Cam Install Kits that include all of the required gaskets, crank seal, crank and cam bolts needed for installation. See page 9 of this brochure for more information.

FOR GM LS APPLICATIONS

The outstanding sound of COMP Cams® Thumpr™ Cams is now available in a complete valve train parts package that is matched for specific LS applications and desired performance. COMP Cams® engineers have spent countless hours testing and creating valve train component combinations that are perfectly matched for maximum HP and dependability, as well as creating that wildly popular Thumpr™ sound in GM LS applications. These Thumpr™ Camshaft Packages can add anywhere from 60 to 110 HP (depending on the application) and are available as a base Cam Kit (CK-Kit) or the Master Kit (MK-Kit). These packages will make you “Hated By Neighbors, Envied By Friends.” Kit components are listed on the following page, as well as the optional LS Cam Install Kits that include all of the required gaskets, crank seal, crank and cam bolts needed for installation. COMP Cams® is bringing the Thumpr™ camshaft series to 2011-14 and 201517 Ford Coyote 5.0L engines. The new COMP Cams® Thumpr No Springs Required (NSR) Camshafts offer big power gains along with the unmistakable Thumpr™ idle lope, all without the need to upgrade valve springs. Ford’s Ti-VCT variable valve timing system is responsible for the flat torque curve and throttle response of the Ford Coyote 5.0L engine. In the past, Coyote enthusiasts have tuned the Ti-VCT system for more overlap to achieve a lopier idle sound. However, tuning the Ti-VCT system for the “ghost cam” effect can be detrimental to the Coyote 5.0L’s performance. COMP Cams® Race XD™ Bushed Solid Roller Lifter sets feature a lightweight modular bushed bearing design with interchangeable pushrod seats. They come standard with centered seats but can be swapped with optional offset seats, to clear even the largest intake ports. For excellent strength in extreme operating conditions, COMP Cams® incorporates a proprietary bronze alloy roller wheel bushing, while an oversized captured link bar connects to the individual lifters. FOR GM LS APPLICATIONS

COMP Cams® introduces another industry first with their Max-Lift BSR Shaft Rocker Systems™, a bolt-in bushed shaft rocker system for GM LS applications that increases system stiffness and allows LS platforms to achieve higher levels of performance. By tying all eight rocker arms together on a single shaft that fits in the stock rocker stand, COMP Cams® has found a way to improve valve train dynamics, increase valve train stiffness and reduce deflection. The use of a tri-layer bushing instead of needle bearings also reduces deflection and eliminates the high Hertz loading that is present in needle bearing trunnions, for more rigidity and durability. In a first for the LS market, provisions are included for optional pressurized oiling to further improve rocker arm durability and performance. The increased valve train stiffness provided by the COMP Cams® Max-Lift BSR Shaft Rocker Systems™ makes the same camshaft perform like a slightly larger camshaft as more of the lobe lift is transferred directly to the valve, instead of being absorbed by deflection in the cylinder head and single-bolt rocker mounting design. LSXHR 103MM INTAKE MANIFOLD ™

FAST® has developed the industry’s first polymer tunnel ram-style intake manifold, ideal for generating maximum power in boosted and naturally aspirated engines. Available for rectangular port LS3 and raised port LS7 engines, the FAST® LSXHR™ 103mm Intake Manifold ships with a set of “tall” removable velocity stacks, however “medium” and “short” stack options can be purchased separately. This allows interchanging of the various runner lengths so racers can experiment with finding which combination makes the most power in their application. Its polymer construction is not only lightweight and high strength but also virtually eliminates power-robbing heat soak that occurs with commonly available aluminum intake manifolds. Testing has shown an average 30-horsepower gain between 5,000 and 7,500 RPM over competitor tunnel ram intake manifolds. The FAST® LSXHR™ 103mm Intake Manifold is designed specifically with boosted applications in mind and is rated for up to 45psi of continuous pressure. The compound fuel injector angle aims the spray pattern for ideal atomization, resulting in maximum power production and superior drivability.
