Mr. Roedig Chorus & Orchestra

Mr. Roedig is our Chorus & Orchestra teacher at LIMS. He has been teaching for 19 years. He was born in New Jersey. Mr. Roedigs birthday is on March 2nd. His hobbies are golf, cooking and eating. He says he is getting along fabulously with his fellow coworkers. Mr. Roedig says his students are great and very hard working. He is looking forward to the festivals that Beaufort has to offer! His goal for his student's this year is to grow academically, socially and to grow musically as well. His favorite book is the DaVinci Code. When asked which college team he liked the best, South Carolina or Clemson- he choose neither and said he preferred Penn State! His current favorite singer is Adele. When Mr. Roedig was in the 5th grade he had an awesome music teacher named Mr. Henderson. Mr. Henderson inspired Mr. Roedig to become the great music teacher he is today!

Mr. Vowels Social Studies

Mr. Vowels is our new Social Studies teacher! He teaches 8th grade Social Studies in the Citadel pod. Mr. Vowels was born in a town called Hilton, New York. Growing up as a child his favorite sport to play was baseball. He also participated in boxing. Mr. Vowels graded college from the S.U.N.Y. colleges in New York, specifically he attended Brockport. After graduation he taught in his hometown schools, Hilton High School and Hope Hall Academy. This is Mr. Vowels third year of teaching. Presently, Mr. Vowels is not married and does not have any children. His favorite movie is Remember The Titans. Mr. Vowles inspiration for teaching is that he has always wanted to work with kids and help them reach their goals. Stop by and say hello to Mr. Vowels and make him feel welcome!

Ms. Brown Professional School Counselor

Ms. Brown is our new counselor, Ms. Brown is in charge of the 7th and 8th grade students. Ms. Brown graduated from Mercer University in 2006 with a degree in Biology. She earned her Masters in counseling from Georgia Southern University in 2013. Ms. Brown became a professional school counselor because she loves working with students and helping students with their path in life, like what they want to be when they grow up. This is her first year she has ever been a professional school counselor at the middle school level. Ms. Brown has lots of hobbies such as; traveling, going to the beach and she loves listening to music and she is a major BeyoncÊ fan. Ms. Brown loves to read when she has some free time. Her all-time favorite book is, Oh, The Places You’ll Go by Dr. Seuss.
