Ride as if You Are Invisible
Even in florescent clothing it can be difficult for drivers to see you. Ride as if you are invisible anticipating cars misjudging your speed or signalling without notice. In particular never edge up on the inside of a vehicle at a junction as the driver is unlikely to be aware you are there. Ride about 1 metre from the kerb and be prepared for obstructions in the road.

Ride to Your Own Pace and Ability
Finally, unless you are preparing for 2014’s arrival of the Tour De France, it’s not a race. Ride to your own ability and take a break and enjoy what you’ve achieved. Sponsored by Trinity Fitness Sports Centre Tel: 0113 283 7155, www.trinityfitness.co.uk
