Really Useful Guide

Alwoodley Parish Council Many people have admired the beautiful wildflower bed on King Lane. This was part of a three year pollination experiment involving several universities and was created and planted by LCC Parks and Countryside Dept. Because it has proved to be so popular the Parish Council has decided to fund more of these wildflower beds around the Parish. We are currently looking at suitable locations – contact us if you’d like to nominate an area. Thanks to a grant from the LCC Wellbeing Fund, there will be some festive lights displayed on lamp posts by the King Lane shops and The Avenue. We have been advised that the switch on date will be 2nd December. In addition, there will be tree lights in the large tree by the playground throughout the winter months. We hope they will bring some cheer to the long winter evenings. The allotments application has now reached the long and tortuous planning stage (after the long and tortuous earlier stages). We are sure that eventually

The beautiful wildflower bed on King Lane there will be light at the end of the tunnel. APC Are very interested in your views, comments or queries.
