community media platform, producer, partner for the arts Date: 09/02/11 Time: 11am – 4pm Venue: The Electric Cinema 47-49 Station Street Birmingham B5 4DY You are invited to this one day event illustrating how arts and community media are working together and inspiring future collaborations, coordinated by Community Media Association working in partnership with Arts Council England and Voluntary Arts Network Community media is a fast growing sector and includes community radio and television broadcasters, community based independent film makers, and internet, digital and social media groups. Working together arts and community media are reaching new audiences, developing excellence and innovation in arts practice and promoting innovative ways of working with new technologies. This free event will include a mixture of presentations and discussions that will demonstrate real life examples of arts and community media collaboration, programming, productions and partnership.
