2013 St. Pat’s Grand Parade Downtown New Dublin, Saturday, March 16
This vehicle entered by Larsen Coop was one of the tiniest to grace the parade this year.
The New London High School Band marched through the parade route while playing a series of popular selections. Pup’s Irish Pub entered this fun float in the parade.
This creative castle float, entered by R Sports 4 U, won the Grand Marshal’s Best of Show Award.
Scout Pack 3249 entered this unique float featuring “Mosquito Hill”.
Michael “Jack” Finnegan passed away once again on Saturday, March 16, 2013. His body laid in state in a 1960 Pontiac after wake service Friday evening, March 15, at Pup’s Mortuary in North Dublin. The funeral cartage passed (out) through downtown on its way to the cemetery on Saturday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. This parade entry won the first annual Mike Coyle Award.
The Beja Shrine Krazy Kops took several “prisoners” as they drove through the parade route.
The Tripoli Shrine Scottish Highlanders from Milwaukee filled the air with melodies from their bagpipes and drums.
The Shamrock Club of New Dublin was represented in the parade with this colorful float. The Club’s members work hard every year to put on the St. Patrick’s Week festivities, and the Club also gives back to the community through many donations throughout the year.
Tears flowed freely from those mourning the loss of Michael “Jack” Finnegan.
The Trinity Irish Dancers performed to the delight of onlookers throughout the parade route.
