Publisher’s Note PUBLISHER’S NOTE I

I've always found that the smell of cinnamon reminds me of Christmastime. And the taste evokes nice childhood memories too (usually in the form of traditional holiday treats). Our cinnamon cover feature brings those simple pleasures back this season. We're featuring hot buttered rum, carrot and cinnamon soup and a traditional moroccan bastilla pie (pages 4046). Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced cook, there is always a lot to learn. So, we've commissioned Cynthia Peters to answer some of your foodrelated questions online this month while you're preparing your holiday feast. Visit Cynthia at www.thecountygrapevine.com and ask her your cooking question. :&"(;&+%<"&(#$(%*#=(#==<&('#=,<==&=(=%<;-$>(;?"(%*&(*?@#'+A=B(=?(%?(=%+"%(%*&(,?$C&"=+%#?$B( go online to answer the question she poses on page 66: What is your favourite holiday =%<;-$>D(5?<(E+A(F#,G(<F(=?E&($&)(#'&+=H

Lastly, if you're decorating for the holidays and need some tips from a pro, our lifestyle editor Laura Branson knows three women who may be able to help. Each issue, this new lifestyle column will shed some light on the artistic side of home decorating and lifestyle. May you enjoy a warm and thankful Holiday season.
