Freight terms are prepaid and charge, unless otherwise instructed. The following items need to be requested at the time of order and may have an extra charge:

Please note, several products are marked as “Special Order Only” throughout the Wine Equipment Catalog. Special order equipment requires a commitment during the pre-order time frame (February 6th through March 31st). Be advised, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all cancelled “Special Order Only” equipment requests. Special order equipment is not stocked for general sale. A limited amount of equipment will be stocked, excluding “Special Order Only” equipment, for general sale. Quantities stocked will be determined by the previous year’s sales history and market trends. The only way to confidently secure wine equipment stocked for general sale is to place an order during the pre-order timeframe (February 6th through March 31st).

Pre-orders for wine equipment will be accepted from February 6th through March 31st each year. With an estimated lead time of 3 months, pre-orders are strongly encouraged. Pre-ordering helps us streamline our ordering process, manage inventory and is the only way to confidently secure wine equipment. Discounted preorder pricing is offered as an incentive to place orders during the pre-order time frame.

Credit and Prepayment Options

With the aforementioned 3 month lead time, pre-order equipment is expected to arrive and be available for distribution by early August. Be advised, uncontrollable obstacles may occur and delay shipments creating longer than anticipated lead times.

Failure to comply with credit terms may result in revocation of credit privileges. All dealings between parties shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Washington State. In the event the account is placed for collection, customers must agree to pay the collection in accordance with the laws of 25% of amount owed.

Vintner's Harvest is strictly a wholesale distributor and only sells equipment to licensed businesses or establishments. First time buyers will be required to fill out an application before placing an order. To obtain an application, please contact Vintner's Harvest representatives at 877-355-2739.

For new customers, please allow 1 - 3 business days for credit approval upon receipt of completed credit application. Prepayment may be required. Past due payments must be received before new orders can be released. There are several payment options for our prepay customers: Credit Card, Wire Transfer, Check or Money Order

Receiving Shipments, Credits & Returns Before signing the shipment Bill of Lading (BOL), inspect each pallet and look for any sign of damage or loss. If any problems arise: Please note any items that were shorted, broken, or compromised on the BOL before signing. Take photos of the damaged pallets and products. Call our Credits and Returns Desk at (360) 905-3366 within 72 hours to report any issues. Make sure all employees involved in unloading your shipment follow these procedures.

GRAPE CRUSHERS Our grape crushers are available in manual version and with electric motor, either painted or in stainless steel. DESTEMMER / CRUSHERS These semi-centrifugal destemmers are designed to destem the grapes prior to crushing and are practical to use and to clean thanks to hinge-opening and removable grill. They are available in enameled or stainless-steel versions, but always with stainless-steel grill and pump. A full length hopper with in feed auger feeds grapes into the detemming shaft with a base auger feeding the destemmed grapes to a fixed crushing pump that will crush and pump out. The pumps have a maximum of a 15 mt horizontal output at zero height or and 4 mt vertical maximum at zero horizontal distance.

LANCMAN WATER PRESSES Lancman Stainless Water Bladder Presses

1860-I-1

The Lancman hydropresses are simple to operate, cost effective and are an excellent way of producing a high quality juice. The unique tilting cage design makes the Lancman easy to unload and its high quality green press sack ensures a consistently clear juice, especially from apples. Constructed entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel, the Lancman is also easy to clean and keep clean. Using the Lancman could not be easier. Milled fruit is emptied into a straining sack that is placed between a central rubber bladder and the outer stainless steel wall of the press. The bladder is then inflated by means of mains water pressure (operating pressure is ~3 bar) and the juice is squeezed out of the press and runs freely down the outside of the press wall into a collection tray at the bottom. The juice can then be pumped into a storage tank. Typical pressing time takes about 30 minutes.

MANUAL FRUIT PRESSES Beautifully made, with a heavy duty pressed steel base covered with a hard wearing enamel coating, a beech cage bound with enameled steel rings, a steel spindle and cast iron press mechanism. Operation is quite simple, just place your fruit in the cage, place the pressing plate on top, stack up the padding blocks on top of the plate and then screw the pressing mechanism down onto the blocks thus pressing the fruit, and squeezing out all that valuable juice. PROFESSIONAL PLATE FILTERS These plate and frame pad filters are available in either stainless steel or enamelled frames. The 10 and 20 plate models have stainless steel frames & pump mounted on the base. The 6 plate is an enamelled version with a bronze pump. Filter plates are heavy food grade polyethylene on all models. The 20 plate model is available with an optional Double Filtration plate which creates two “chambers” where filter pads of different micron ratings can be used in one pass of the filter.

ENOLMASTER BOTTLE FILLER

Through vacuum operated filling, the product is bottled in the most natural way, allowing to maintain the product original qualities and features. When placing the bottle under the machine, the fluid is drawn by the vacuum created inside the bottle itself, without any contact between product and pumps. The filling head are in full stainless steel and easily adjustable for bottle fill levels. ENOLMASTER fills approximately 600, 750ml bottles per hour, in perfect hygienic conditions and with no product spillage. The filling level & rate are adjustable: once selected, the machine automatically fills up the bottle to the desired level. Also, the tank from which the fluid is drawn can be placed even 4 meters below ENOLMASTER. In Line Filtration is possible via the Tandem Filter with uses 3 cartridges. Item#

ENOLMATIC BOTTLE FILLER Simple steps on the Enolmatic: 1. Connect the supply hose & the rigid pipe vessel where you are bottling from. The Enolmatic will draw wine over 10 feet so the supply container can sit on the floor. 2. Turn on the power and adjust the vacuum for the desired filling rate. Adjust the filling head for the level of fill in the bottle by the depth of the spout in the bottle. 3. Place a bottle on the spout, the vacuum pulls the wine up directly into the bottle, filling it. 4. When the bottle is filled to the level you have determined the flow will exhaust the excess to the collection bowl on the rear of the machine. 5. After many bottles have been filled the collection bowl at the rear of the machine will be full of wine and it can then returned to the supply container for refilling. 6. Cleaning is quick and easy by passing clean water and winemaking cleaner through the Enolmatic as if you are bottling wine. Item#

Saves time by eliminating a separate step and allows you to filter without using a pump or exposing your wine to oxygen. This filter unit is placed inline between the product and the filler itself. The majority of yeast strains strip out fruit flavour and colour from the must, not so with VR21 which is particularly noted for preserving the natural fruit characteristics of the grape / country fruit and enhancing palate length. VR21 is a relatively neutral strain producing subtle levels of aroma and flavour compounds, allowing full expression of varietal / country characteristics whilst enhancing colour, wine structure and balance. No rehydration required – add direct to must and stir well.

SN9 is a particularly neutral fermenter conferring only subtle wine flavour and aroma but contributing significantly to weight and structure. Rapid problem free fermentation with high stress & ethanol tolerance and high glycerol production. SN9 is particularly good when fermenting flower or low fruit recipes which often lack vinosity, weight and depth. Also an excellent choice where uncertain recipes are employed and fermentation reliability is a key factor. No rehydration required – add direct to must and stir well.

TYPES OF WINE CORKS NATURAL The Natural straight wine cork is a cylindrical stopper punched directly from the cork, manually or automatically. It is a 100% natural product. The corks are then sorted by an optical cork sorting machine, before being washed using a hydrogen peroxide based solution. They are then dried and sorted manually into finer classes. The Colmated wine cork (also known as the Bellcork) is made of natural cork and then treated with a colmated process which involves a glue used to combine cork particles to fill the outer imperfections of the cork. This process combined with the surface treatment gives the “Bellcork” cork improved sealing ability. Usually comes with a bevelled edge.

VH7 Grade

AGGLOMERATE Agglomerated corks are made from chipped cork pieces ground to a specific size and glued together with non-reactive polyurethane glue. Inexpensive and easy to handle, these are suitable for wines that will be held for six months to a year. Agglomerate corks have high resilience and offer a good seal. Usually they come with a bevelled edge. SYNTHETIC Synthetic corks are made from inert synthetic resins. Some wineries have tried them, mainly for short-term wines. They have to be put in with a heavy-duty corker, and can only be extracted with a good worm-type corkscrew wielded by a strong hand. Further development is needed before the home wine maker could put them to use without the use of a floor corker. Nomacorc is the exception as it is made from an extrusion process with uniform, small closed cells that provide a superior seal to traditional synthetic corks which are moulded.

WHAT CORK IS RIGHT FOR YOU? There are several things to consider when selecting the right cork for your purpose and cellaring conditions. TIME Estimate the length of time you realistically expect to store your wine before drinking. BEVEL This is the tapered edge that some of the less expensive corks have around the top and bottom of the cork. It is to allow easier insertion with hand held corkers. Take into account that the bevel does reduce the amount of surface area in contact with the neck of the bottle and it is this contact that prevents the passage of wine past the cork. LENGTH & DIAMETER Primarily wine corks are available in two lengths – 38mm (1.5 inches) and 44mm (1.75 inches) – and in three diameters – 21mm, 22mm, 24mm (in USA and Canada they are known as #7, #8 and #9). The length and diameter are related to the sealing ability of the cork. Where you compare corks in the same grade, the cork with the longest length and largest diameter will give the greatest sealing capability. Floor corkers can be used on all corks, but if you are using plunge or hand corkers you may need to opt for the narrower and shorter corks. Remember … The cheapest cork isn’t always the best deal, and if you do decide to keep some bottles for the future, you may find yourself having to re-cork them in a few years.
