This whitework textured cushion, using two thicknesses of Mountmellick thread, shows the traditional patterns and flora of the Irish countryside. The various stitches create depth and interest to produce a cushion that would enhance any home. What a way to explore the world of traditional Mountmellick work with berries and leaves. Miniature William Morris Sampler Quilt with Michele Hill
Enjoy two days of history and relaxation as you stitch blocks inspired by the genius of William Morris. Three blocks make up this wall hanging which is featured in the Inspirations Books publication ‘William Morris in Appliqué’. The blocks are all appliquéd and embroidered by hand with construction by machine. You will complete two or three blocks, depending on experience. Construction and quilting will be covered. Beaded Lace Motif with Karen Torrisi
Beaded lace motifs are the most versatile beaded project. Once embellished, they can be hand stitched to any piece of clothing or accessory and can be reused over time. Learn how to enhance a lace motif by using centre seed bead anchor stitches, feather stitching, interlocking sequin stitching and straight running stitch. You will also learn how to create three dimensional sequin flowers. There will be a choice of colours.
