Dispatches and Abroad
The Country and Abroad is known for publishing dispatches regarding special events in the quad-state region of eastern New York, western Connecticut, western Massachusetts, and southern Vermont, and also “abroad.”
We use the term “abroad” because these dispatches and articles may range from appraising tulips in Holland, golfing in France, riding camels in Mongolia, sojourning in Israel, Petra, and the Pyramids, encounters with the Mossi in Ghana, sleeping on ice beds in northern Sweden, and taking the baths in Austria. We also cover locales south of our distribution area, including columns about Louisville, Kentucky, Lexington, Virginia, Aiken, South Carolina, The Everglades, and points even farther south, such as the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, Cuba, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Buenos Aires. Past travel contributors have included Diana Niles King, Sharon Kleinman, Deyan Brashich, and Sarah Ellen Rindsberg.
