If you are co sleeping with newborn, then you have to follow the necessary guideline in order to avoid any potential hidden dangers of co sleeping. For many years, mainstream parenting advisers have discouraged co-sleeping, as it is responsible for SIDS and breaking marriages. Although co sleeping increases sleep duration, schedules breastfeeding effectively and decreases nighttime crying, but, it may makes you disappoint and guilty, if you doesn’t heed to the advises prescribed by the parenting experts because there are potential chances that can occur such as rolling over the newborn, suffocation, newborn falling from the bed and many more. Therefore, co sleeping with newborn is nothing but a challenge for first time parents.

Breastfeed your newborn on time.

Place the baby to sleep on their back.

Check room temperature regularly.

Dress your newborn well.

Keep pacifier and necessary co sleeping products next to you.

Keep your baby in touching and hearing distance.

Check spacing between your bed and wall, while breastfeeding.

If your hair is long, pin it up safely.

Nevertheless, I am not discouraging or encouraging co sleeping with newborns because I doesn’t know your culture, sleeping positions, habits and circumstances. But, I do advocate you to consider the prescribed do’s and don’ts of co sleeping with newborns.
