How Your Congregation Can Help Those in Crisis

Since 1945, congregations like yours have been a lifeline for our neighbors in crisis near and far...

WHO WILL YOUR LOVE REACH NEXT?

Your congregation’s generosity helps neighbors with their immediate and urgent needs following a disaster. But it also supports the longer-term needs that happen in the aftermath as those impacted struggle to rebuild and recover in communities that have been destroyed. This longer-term help empowers communities to become stronger and better prepared for future disasters.

The need is great, but so is your congregation’s love.

Dear Partner in Ministry,

Thank you for leading your congregation to be a beacon of hope for neighbors in need.

We are living in unprecedented times. Funding shrinks while needs grow. Crises are more frequent, disasters more severe and conflict touches more lives than ever.

Yet, I remain hopeful — because of your partnership.

When floods devastated central Texas, help reached our neighbors within hours. How? Because the support of congregations like yours enables us to respond where and when we are needed most.

For 80 years, Lutherans have been a light for those grappling in darkness. Will you continue this legacy of love until we reach every neighbor?

In gratitude,

Rev. Lisa KippDirector of Congregational Engagement lkipp@lwr.org
