Subject: Is eBay having cash flow problems??? Thu May 12, 2011 10:23 pm Must be. Their PayPal division just informed me they're going to put a 21-day "hold" on my PayPal receipts...keeping my funds in a "reserve" just in case a customer wants a refund. Yeah, more like using MY paltry funds to help keep THEM afloat. Never had a refund problem before.

This comes after wave upon wave of changes by eBay to make it harder and harder for sellers to make a dime; coddle the buyers even when they're Posts: 1191 Join date: 2009-06- obviously ripping off the sellers. 17 Okay, I guess it's time for me to "tap." I'm crying "uncle" and giving up. It just Age: 63 makes no sense for me to continue selling watches on eBay, paying higher and Location: Sunny higher fees, being forced to use PayPal and not certain other payment options, San Diego then not getting my money to pay for inventory.

EB/PP suck.

Fri May 13, 2011 2:10 am They have been doing this for awhile now, it happened to me on a purchase i made. so the guy wasnt going to ship, what he did not understand was e-bay was holding the money and the sooner i got the item and left feedback the quicker he would get his money. i know its to protect the buyer but i think its a load of crap. Subject: Re: Is eBay having cash flow problems??? Fri May 13, 2011 10:07 am This is really interesting insight guys. To tell the truth I have really only bought items on Ebay, and so far haven't noticed any problems. Guess if you actually sell items like you Tom, or have bought quite a few items, that the chances of noticing this would go up. I really hope you get to continue selling your watches there in any case sir. Thanks very much for the info Tom, and Steve ! ____________________________________

They have a new policy regarding claims. If there is a file claimed against you Posts: 530 Join date: 2009-10- and your item them freeze your account because if they find for the seller, HAHA, they refund their money within 24 hours. So, they want the money there 12 in the account. If it is not there all accounts, both paypal and eBay, get or remain frozen until you reimburse them. This policy has been in effect for over a year. They just find all kinds of ways to make it more and more difficult for sellers. ____________________________________
