Day hands fell off 2 watches

Went to get my green San iii ocean quest to wear for St Pattys day and noticed the day hand had fallen off. Found my combat edition bolt in the same state. Gonna send em to invicta for repair. I guess 3 or 4 months from now they will be back. Bummer

bummer, good luck with the repairs. I took my SAN III to a local watch guy for $15 he fixed it within a week and no probs since. I think Invicta made an exception to the warranty if you have the SAN III fixed locally saying it would not void the warranty. __________________

It's common for that particular model. Lot's of people including myself returned ours to Shop for that very reason. Sorry you had to experience it at the most in- opportune time. Maybe you can have it fixed at your local jeweler, if they are willing to work on Invicta's. If not, say bye- bye to your watches for 6-8 weeks. (If you are lucky.) __________________

My Green SAN111 had to have one of the bracelet holes drilled out. I only noticed this when I went to change out the bracelet for the strap. Took it to my local jeweler, and for 10 bucks, he fixed it. Good luck. __________________

I agree that is not a good thing to find. Sorry to hear... Green SANIII OQ would have been perfect for the occasion. Unfortunately that production run of the 8172.220 had some issues with the day hand. The Bolt had the same movt. & issue. Not fun to have to deal with under any circumstance, but it can be a quick & easy (local) fix. Hope the day hands get taken care of soon. Wish you luck. __________________

I feel your pain! This happened to me (I bought mine from WOW). I used to own every color of the SAN 3 Ocean Quest kits, because WOW had them for the $250 mark....but I got rid of all of them after a few issues with the hands.. I would recommend local repair, which I did once.....only cost $15. Sending to Invicta may cost your shipping plus $28 repair charge (which may be waived if you complain enough). __________________

Question? Is this watch a recent purchase or is it from last year when they had issues with the day hand and issues of mold in the kits ? I had that problem last year and sent it back.....I hope it doesn't happen to the kit that I bought on Weds. of this week. eagle 4 View Public Profile Send a private message to eagle 4 Find all posts by eagle 4 Add eagle 4 to Your Contacts #16 Yesterday, 10:55 AM Join Date: May 2009 Location: Sacramento Posts: 73 Real Name: Juan

Do it locally. As one of the other mentioned both the SAN III and the Bolt had issues. My III was a first edition with the blue dial. The Bolt was also the limited edition. Repaired now and working fine. That happened on my Blue, Green, and Yellow Kits! Definitely go to a local jeweler to have it fixed. It cost's less than the freight to send it to Invicta, and you save the heartache. __________________

I actually found my Orange Kit with the same problem about two weeks ago and my Corduba Ibiza and another one that I don't the name of cause its not a very popular model. I wish it wasn't such a big deal to get it sent off to get fixed. __________________ observe the time, fly from evil Scottie2hottie View Public Profile Send a private message to Scottie2hottie Find all posts by Scottie2hottie

That is awful. Such a lovely watch. I almost bought one but due to the mold issue, I didn't get the yellow version. I bought a Venom OQ kit instead. Thank goodness. That is an internal issue I wouldn't take to my local guy. I had my crown fixed, crystal replaced and bracelet fixed. But anything dealing with opening up my caseback other than a battery replacement would go back to Invicta. You can't wear it as is, so 3 or 4 months it would be.

I have the same problem. Day hand fell off the anniversary edition bolt. Also, now unable to adjust date on one of my excursions. As a result, Android is currently getting my business.

same thing happened to me!

The same thing happened to my Akula -Took it to my favorite watch guy -- and he'll get it fixed for about twenty bucks -Before you send it off -- you might check locally -- if you have someone you like and trust -You can probably get it done for a lot less -- and have your watches back on your wrist in a lot less time -- like three or four days! And herein lies why some no longer purchase Invicta.maybe they need to reduce the amount of new product being banged out and spend a tad longer in production with better QC and testing. Sorry to hear about that, and all the other posts mentioned here! Auto manufacturers issue recalls all the time. Same here as well. My green OQ had the issue with the subdial hand. Took it to my local watch shop and I had it back in 3 days. Cost me $15. Much less of a headache than having to send it to Invicta. watchhore View Public Profile Send a private message to watchhore Find all posts by watchhore Add watchhore to Your Contacts #37 Today, 09:07 AM

Consider that after the first year, your 5 year Invicta extended warranty only covers the movement. Save youself some time, worry, and potentially some money (2 watches under 1st year warranty = $28 twice to Invicta, plus your initial shipping to FL.) and have 'em repaired locally. __________________

Is there a reason that Invicta struggles mightily with their watch hands? A common theme of Invicta seems to be their inability to attach the hands of their watches properly. There is no excuse for this. orlandopilot

This just happened to mine after having it nearly 2 years. Had the geen OQ. I took it to a authorized Rolex jeweler and the watch maker had it fixed in 10 minutes and it only cost me 25 bucks. Find a quality jeweler store with a watch maker and this is not big deal!!! kayak
