VISITORS CTR/HISTORICAL ASSC & MAINSTREET LTD

CORONADO VISITOR CENTER, CORONADO MUSEUM OF HISTORY & ART The Coronado Visitor Center is located in the heart of historic downtown, in the lobby of the Coronado Museum of History & Art - 1100 Orange Avenue. Here you will find answers to all your Coronado questions and a starting point to plan your visit. Situated in the 1910 Harter Building (site of Coronado’s first bank), the Visitor Center and Museum are operated by the Coronado Historical Association. Having the Museum and Visitor Center located in the same building gives visitors a unique and thorough dose of Coronado past and present all under one roof. Our team of trained, community volunteers is well versed in everything from bus and ferryboat schedules to cultural performances, and even where to find great seafood dinners. We also sell discount tickets for attractions such as the San Diego Zoo, Harbor Tours, and Old Town Trolley, and have numerous maps and brochures to welcome you to Coronado. We invite you to enjoy what has drawn royalty and celebrities to our island for years!

CORONADO VISITOR CENTER 1100 Orange Ave 619.437.8788 www.coronadovisitorcenter.com

The Coronado Museum offers regularly scheduled Docent-led walking tours on the island. The Promenade through the Past tour introduces you to Coronado’s famous buildings and residents. The Hotel Del tour takes you inside the historic Victorian structure and through the courtyard gardens, sharing stories of famous visitors and their ghosts. There are three exhibit galleries, an elegant Museum Store, Research Library and photo archive (research done by appointment), and one of Coronado’s finest culinary experiences can be found in the same building -- Tent City Restaurant. The Visitor Center and Museum are open weekdays 9-5 and weekends 10-5. We are open every day of the year except New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas day.
