Welcome to Cornerstone!

Have you heard about Hand2Hand of Cornerstone? At six local schools each week, volunteers drive up to the campus with backpacks of food. These are discreetly given to over 370 children for them to take home to cover any gaps in food that they may have at home. Students are given dinner, breakfast and snack kits that have at least 10 healthy food options. “As a teacher, I've seen less negative behaviors and kids that don't feel good by asking the simple question....'Have you eaten today?'. I'm surprised at how many kids do not start their day with food,” said a local teacher.

It takes many people to make this happen, through various teams. Cornerstone worshipers purchase food, assemble kits and drop them off at a Cornerstone Campus. Other volunteers set up the food; another group packs all the bags. Another team delivers it all to the schools. Still other teams discreetly distribute the bags at the school, so a child can carry it home for the weekend. One Cornerstone volunteer said, “It’s an honor to meet the teachers, staff, and principal at Bowen Elementary and such a joy to meet and work alongside Yasmin, the social worker. We pray God will use this ministry to bless homes with food scarcity and we pray for opportunities to share the love of Jesus.”

Help us feed more hungry kids. Visit to find your role in the program.

Support Groups to Start in Late January

Support Groups are peer support communities that bring people together who are facing similar challenges. This isn't professional therapy; rather groups led by people who've been where you are, and have a heart for hurting people. We have several groups available which include: Blended Families, Divorce Care, Restoring Hope (for Healthcare and First Responders), Restoring Joy (for Educators) and Reboot Combat Recovery. All of our support groups are available for anyone in West Michigan in need of support.
