With their fifth and latest studio album ‘Into Your Heart’, Hothouse Flowers are planning to steal their way into hearts everywhere. ‘Your Love Goes On’, the first new single from the record, debuted as the highest-ranking new single that week in the Irish charts. With the February 6th release of ‘Into Your Heart’ in Ireland and a scheduled mid-March release in the UK, the band plans to tour extensively. Known for their unique brand of rock that’s influenced by soul, gospel and traditional Irish music, the band’s lead singer Liam Ó Maonlaí says: “As musicians we have a duty to imagine and to manifest something of the possibilities that live in our collective imagination. Hothouse Flowers is a rock and roll band but that band also is a collective of voices from a time and place.” Support by The Henry Girls.

One of Ireland’s foremost songwriters, Jimmy MacCarthy returns to performing with his Greatest Hits Irish tour following his sell out gig here last Autumn. Having had his songs recorded by major Irish artists including Christy Moore, Mary Black, Mary Coughlan, Maura O’Connell and Westlife, he has also released four solo albums. His Greatest Hits tour pays homage to old favourites such as ‘Neidin’ while introducing more recent work such as ‘Andalucian Gray’ and ‘Children of Mile’. A native of Macroom Co. Cork, MacCarthy’s first single ‘Miles of Eyes’ was released in 1981 and from there he went on to write some of the most famous songs in the Irish folk and contemporary repertoire such as ‘Ride On’, ’No Frontiers’, ’Katie’, ‘The Bright Blue Rose’, ‘The Contender’, ’Mystic Lipstick,’ ‘Missing you’ and many more.

Fresh off the Cork Opera House stage, ‘The Son Of Love’ Velvin Lamont is releasing his debut EP ‘Love Is On The Way’ on iTunes this April. To celebrate, Velvin will perform some of his new songs as well as his favourite soul, pop and R&B songs by artists such as Nat King Cole, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Pharrell Williams. The evening will be hosted by one of Cork’s number one DJ’s Stevie G. A newcomer to Ireland, Velvin first became known as a top 12 finalist on The Voice of Ireland in 2012. He has also played Teen Angel in the 2013 and 2014 productions of Grease! as well as Genie in our Panto, ‘Aladdin’ in 2013.

Presented by Kilmeen Drama Group, ‘The Walworth Farce’ by Enda Walsh is the story about Dinny and his two sons, Sean and Blake. Every day Dinny directs his sons in his own little house-play that tells the story of how this unconventional family left their beloved Cork almost twenty years ago and found themselves living in a council flat on the Walworth Road in London. On this day, an unexpected and unwelcome guest arrives on their doorstep. Her presence upsets the delicate fiction Dinny has been weaving all these years and threatens to break the vicious psychological control he has over his sons.

New Zealander Neil Mullane Finn OBE is the founding member of Crowded House, a band that rose to international fame in the late 1980s after the release of their debut song written by Neil called ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’. The band produced four albums to critical acclaim but Neil left in 1996 to pursue a solo career. Since then, the multi-instrumentalist has released two solo albums, two ‘Fin Brothers’ albums with his brother Tim, reformed Crowded House and released 2 albums and undertaking world tours in 2009 / 2010. He has written music for both TV and film, including ‘Song of the Lonely Mountain’ featured in Peter Jackson’s latest movie: The Hobbit – An Unexpected Journey. Neil comes to Ireland, the country of his mother’s birth, on the release of his 3rd solo album ‘Dizzy Heights’.

Combining Tishoumaren with rock and blues, the Irish Times described their music as “the most rock’n’roll of them all”. They come to Ireland as part of their worldwide tour with the launch of their 6th album ‘EMMAAR’.

The ever popular Dickie Rock takes to the Cork Opera House stage with various artists in aid of Cork’s Voluntary Cancer Support Centre. Dickie Rock rose to fame in the 1960s as one of the frontmen of the Miami Showband, achieving 13 top ten hits, including 7 number ones. In 1973, Dickie went solo and in October 2009, he received a lifetime achievement award. He continues to tour after a career spanning more than 40 years.

The ‘Queen of Irish Country & Irish’, Margo O’Donnell is celebrating 50 years in the Irish music business with her first All Ireland Tour in 15 years. What’s more, she’s released a new single ‘Learning To Say Goodbye’ on 28th February, followed by a new CD ‘50 Songs 50 Years’, released on 7th March. The second eldest of five children, including crooner Daniel O’Donnell, she joined a local showband called ‘Keynotes’ as a teenager. After a number of hits, she was signed by a Dublin record company with new band ‘Margo and the Country Folk’. She has sold over 1 million albums and performed with such legends as Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton. In 2010, she was awarded the All Ireland Country Music Hall of Fame award. This show will be filmed live.

Luke Kelly’s 30th Anniversary Concert featuring Chris Kavanagh celebrates the memory and music of one of Ireland’s cultural treasures and greatest folk artists of the 20th Century. Dubliner Chris Kavanagh’s passion for Luke Kelly’s music led him to learn to play the 5-string long neck banjo and over the past twelve years, he has toured this show across Ireland, England, Switzerland, Germany and Australia, with regular attendance by Luke Kelly’s family. Chris not only bears a remarkable resemblance to Luke, his singing talents capture the depth and passion of the great man.

Amazing Grace IS a catch phrase often applied to Brendan Grace and is indeed very true in many respects. The genial and much loved family comedian is celebrating 42 years in the comedy business and is now more popular than at any time in his career to date and what an illustrious career that has been. Brendan’s latest show features some brand new material and some ‘Old Favourites’ from his vast repertoire. Brendan has a very special bond with Irish audiences and is much loved by young and old not least because he gives very generously of his time after each concert. The ‘Meet and Greet’ is now very much part and parcel of the evening.
