Welcome to Regen 2014, the exhibition and conference for the UK Regeneration Industry, and welcome to Liverpool, the host city for the International Festival for Business 2014. As part of the UK Government backed, International Festival for Business 2014, we, as the organisers of the event, are absolutely thrilled that so many of the leading names in Urban Regeneration from around the country have joined us at what promises to be one of the most comprehensive Regeneration events ever held in this country. First and foremost, we would like to thank the International Festival for Business themselves for including Regen 2014 as one of their 200 events in Liverpool in June and July this year, and we would also like to thank Mr. Max Steinberg and the entire Liverpool Vision team for all their advice and assistance over the past 12 months, and their unbelievable joint effort in turning the entire festival from a concept into a real success story. We would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in this event, the exhibitors, sponsors, conference delegates, exhibition visitors, media partners, affiliates and a special thank you to all 24 speakers, without whose presence the event would not have been possible. SURF - Scotland's independent regeneration network

Stanley Dock Properties Limited

As Scotland's independent regeneration network, SURF uses its extensive cross-sector membership, which includes over 250 organisations, to explore current practice, experience and knowledge in community regeneration.

Stanley Dock is the largest collection of listed Victorian dockside warehouses in Western Europe and provides a unique waterside environment. As Liverpool's hotel scene continues to thrive, a vibrant new venue the Titanic Hotel Liverpool opens in the revitalised Stanley Dock and will be a stunning addition to the city's renowned World Heritage site. Since 1849, the location's warehouses have stored tobacco imports from across the Atlantic but a massive refurbishment programme is transforming and regenerating the site with originality, care and passion.

SURF provides a neutral space to facilitate this sharing of information and ideas through a diverse programme of activities that includes seminars, conferences, policy exchanges, lectures, study visits, awards for best practice and the distribution of information and comment in a variety of formats.

Work is almost complete on converting the old Rum Warehouse which will become a majestic suite for both exhibition and conference events, seating 1,500 theatre style or 700 for a banquet and is home to 'regen 2014' on June 25th - 26th.

Constructive feedback from the SURF membership is used to positively influence the development of more successful regeneration policy and practice through SURF's links with key policy-makers in the Scottish Government and elsewhere.

The next phase of redevelopment at Stanley Dock will see the transformation of the iconic Tobacco Warehouse, the centrepiece of Stanley Dock into apartments and business units.

Team Enterprises Ltd is a North West based Training Consultancy, the organisation was founded in 1999 and has grown to be a leading provider, specialising in Apprenticeships, Traineeships, National Vocational Qualifications and bespoke industry led training courses.

The Land Trust is about long-term management of open space to promote healthy living, enhance social cohesion, encourage learning, support ecosystems and stimulate economic growth. We provide cost effective solutions for landowners, such as developers, the public sector, landfill operators and extractive companies to ensure land is managed for the benefit of both the environment and the economy.
