Coordinated with developer regarding alternate bid items and additional work.

Progress this period: • Project advertised October 20th and 27th. • Provided plans and specs to Costello, Inc. for constructability review. • Finalized utility relocation. • Received updated survey from Amani that confirmed acquisitions by city and TxDOT. • Met with BNSF concerning upgrades to the railroad crossing that will be performed by BNSF. There will be an adjustment in the cost to the city for improvements and upgrades. Previously negotiated cost were adjusted and additional work added by BNSF resulting in an additional cost to the city of $2,328.00.

The contractor had requested a change order for $17,960.00 to do the work. The bore under Kirby and the sanitary sewer tie-in to be completed by November 5, 2010. The installation of the third and final run began October 25th and is expected to be complete in approximately 15 days.
