Pavement o Northbound lanes opened to traffic November 11th o Contractor is still working on curbs and ADA ramps throughout the project o Most of the sidewalks are complete, remaining gaps are directly associated with incomplete ramps and concrete riprap is now complete o Northbound grinding has been completed but in the next few weeks grinding will begin in the southbound lanes. This will necessitate a rolling one lane closure along the southbound lanes to allow for this work once it begins Bridges o Bridge medians are schedule to begin the week after Thanksgiving. The sub will provide two crews to expedite the work. o Also fabrication of pedestrian hand rails for the bridges are nearly completed and are scheduled to begin installation once the bridge median/ sidewalk work is completed Traffic Signals o Signals on the north end of the job east side remain incomplete. • Contractor’s plan in September was to have all signals completed and operational by the end of October. This has not occurred, signals on sides streets are not complete and none of them are operational at this time. Median work o Contractor has installed concrete barrier along the median work area and has scheduled excavation of the asphalt and base from those areas although no work has been started as of this report due to weather delays. o Landscaping work is scheduled to begin immediately after Thanksgiving with the installation of irrigation taps and meters Contractor is now projecting a mid-January completion for the project. It should be noted however, that this projection was made before the rain during the last week of November.

Application was executed and submitted to TCEQ in late July, 2013 TCEQ provided response questionnaire requesting additional information. This indicates that the application is in the review process. They have determined that a water conservation plan is required for the irrigation system. Cobb Fendley met with CPMCA to discuss and obtain information on the planned system. Staff have responded to those items required to be furnished by the city, including an application fee in the amount of $412 and all indications are that the completed response will be returned by Dec. 9 Based on the requested additional information there appear to be no problems or delays at this time.

McHard Road 16” Water Line and Roadway PER Progress this period: • • • • •

Attended monthly progress meeting. CL Davis is continuing to prepare the easements. This work is running a little behind schedule. The parcel count has increased to 28. The Modern Green Ivy Development is not progressing as fast as earlier presumed, but it has been determined that the current proposed infrastructure will be sufficient for Phase I of the development. We are proceeding with the plan to break the waterline project up into multiple phases. Phase I will extend from Business Center Drive to Cullen and from Mykawa to SH 35. Both areas are already owned by the city. This phase should be ready to advertise by the beginning of the second quarter of 2014 with construction starting mid to late May. TCE will need to be acquired in some areas along the alignment. The Utility Coordination meeting was held on November 19. Several Utility Companies attended and/or submitted their as-built drawings for the area. Utility conflicts were identified and work-around solutions were discussed.

Prepare and attend a monthly progress meeting. Prepare for and attend a utility coordination meeting with TxDOT which is tentatively set for December 3. Began BNSF approvals. Continue surveying coordination.

Project design is scheduled for twenty-four months with scheduled completion February 2014. Waterline Project will be divided into two phases, the first phase will bid in April 2014. Design is on schedule.

Results will determine what, if anything will be required for odor control at this location. Public Works is revising the specifications for the lift station and sanitary sewer lines. An agreement has been reached with the property owner for the acquisition of the additional property to extend the footprint of the lift station. GC Engineering is addressing 60% comments from staff. Should have all comments answered by second week in December along with 90% plans.

Receive 90% plans. 100% plans should be received three weeks after 90 % comments addressed. Set up TRC meeting to be held in December.
