Bringing technology to life is how Wayne Long helps a host of AE Smith clients As Project Manager for AE Smith Building Technologies, Wayne (pictured right) translates controls and technologies into practical applications to deliver leading edge automation for a building’s mechanical systems. Working with AE Smith for over 17 years, Wayne combines his experience in service and mechanical maintenance to ensure his project management approach with technicians, construction and building technologies is seamless. “Having a background in the mechanical and service side means we can provide the most suitable technology and building control solutions to the projects we work on,” says Wayne. Wayne certainly feels his own experience as a commissioning technician and supervisor for over five years influences his project management style: “That knowledge certainly helps when working with AE Smith’s internal and external customers, ensuring we can identify how to create functional automation and translate the technology into something very practical,” Wayne adds.

“We were very proud to be competing in the AE Smith colours,” comments Corporate Triathlon organiser and Special Projects Manager in the Brisbane Construction office, Martin Ross. “Working towards a world class event such as this has been a great motivator and created strong teamwork amongst our offices,” adds Martin.
