Day 9: The Whitsundays to Cairns Go north to the happening city of Townsville that straddles the coast & the outback. Continue road-tripping along the spectacular Great Green Way via Tully to the ever-popular travellers’ hub of Cairns. Resort (B) Townsville city tour View Magnetic Island, an unspoilt national park, from Townsville Cross the Tully River, home to Australia's best whitewater rafting Days 10-11: Cairns With a lush tropical setting, Cairns has so much to offer – great restaurants, bars, markets, shopping & of course, nightlife! It’s also the jumping off point for lots of activities like the Outer Barrier Reef cruise or whitewater rafting.
