Consumer culture is being seen in the era of increasing market-mark, but there is a lack of awareness among consumers.

Today every person is a consumer, whether he is buying something or getting any service. Indeed, profiteering has created many problems for consumers. Due to adulteration and low quality of things where they have problems, they also have to face problems due to interruption in services or not getting adequate service.

Whether it is right or not, it is the law to make sure. This slogan will be seen in government offices. The government has set up several laws to provide protection to consumers, but despite the fact that after charging the full cost from the consumers, they are not getting the right things and reasonable services. December 24 is celebrated in India as National Consumer Day,

It is important to note that the Consumer Protection Act-1986 included products and services. Products are those which are manufactured or produced and which are sold to the consumers by wholesalers or retailers. Services include transportation, telephone, electricity, construction, banking, insurance, medical treatment etc. Generally, these services are provided by professional people, such as doctors, engineers, architects, lawyers etc.

In the Consumer Protection Act, it was clarified who is the consumer and which services can be brought under the purview of this law. According to the provisions of this Act, the person receiving any type of service by paying a price or by paying a fixed amount is a consumer. If there is any reduction in the goods or services he has bought, then he can take the help of the District Consumer Forum.
