22 year history, the most recent of which was its 2010 ranking by Golf World magazine as one of the 'Top 100 Golf Courses in the World.' The course was built in 1988 and now has two full 18 hole courses. The Majlis is a 7,211 yard par 72 course and the Faldo is a par 73 course playing 7,328 yards from the back tees and is now completely floodlit allowing play until late evening. Summer green fees to play The Majlis course are Dhs 400 at all times whilst The Faldo is priced at Dhs 300. Floodlit golf is priced at Dhs 425 after 5pm on The Faldo course. Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa
Part of the Jebel Ali self-contained resort, about 30 minutes drive from downtown Dubai and 20 minutes from Dubai Marina. The course is a 9-hole, par 36 course which may be played twice from different tee boxes. The views are impressive with the Arabian Gulf and the impressive Jebel Ali Hotel as a backdrop and peacocks roam freely around the course. Summer green fees for visitors to the UAE based on 18 holes play are Dhs 255 from Sunday to Thursday, increasing to Dhs 285 at the weekend. The Address Montgomerie
Located in Emirates Hills and nestling amongst enormous villas overlooking the golf course is The Address Montgomerie. Designed by Colin Montgomerie in association with Desmond Muirhead, the course features 14 lakes and 72 bunkers and has the largest single green in the world - an incredible 58,000 square feet which is in www.mydubaiconnection.com
the shape of the UAE. The par 72 course is an inland links with generous landing areas and undulating greens, however played from the back tees it plays a lengthy 7,308 yards. The clubhouse, overlooking the 18th green, includes a 21-bedroomed Address hotel which is ideal should you wish to stay close to the course. The Els Club, Dubai Sports City
Designed by Ernie Els, the course is set on undulating slopes of native desert vegetation; it is a links style layout combining traditional classic design. Stretching 7,538 yards with four sets of tees allowing players a selection of differing lengths from which to play, The Els Club offers players a challenging round accompanied by all the essential facilities that extend beyond the immaculate fairways and ultra-fast greens. The Els Club has a temporary clubhouse but has all the amenities necessary to service your needs during a visit to the club such as a pro shop, ample locker rooms, changing facilities, outdoor dining and an all-day restaurant.
