TRANSFORM ONE BAMBUTI PYGMY 2012
The children in our school can now enjoy porridge meal. For some, this is the only meal they take in a day.
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is a huge central African country with enormous resources. However, extended conflicts with internal and external armed forces and collapse of country’s infrastructure have resulted in one of the greatest humanitarian crises of modern times. Foreign commercial interests have repeatedly manipulated regional tensions in an effort to destabilize the country in order to plunder its vast natural resources. Today, DRC is among the 10 poorest nations in the world. The plight of the Bambuti pygmies in DRC is one sad story. The earliest settlers in Congo can only be described as the poorest of the poor in Africa. They are isolated, exploited, excluded, killed, eaten, raped and the list is endless. They can no longer hunt in the forests, no land to farm, no habitable shelter, no schools for their children and no healthcare.
We donate blankets, tents, clay soil, food, seeds, school uniforms, books and pens among other items.
PIPES International, a nonprofit Mission Agency is working hard to give hope to this community in Word and Deed bringing positive and lasting change. We are involved in several projects among the Bambuti pygmies in DRC including; Education, Resettlement, Feeding, small business entrepreneurship and spiritual growth. Please be part of the story. Join us in extending opportunity and hope to the poorest of the word.
Samuel ministers good news to forest pygmies Life among the Bambuti is pathetic and unbearable. However, together we can transform this community
