CLIENT : Kidim India Pvt Ltd AREA : 35 acres WORK @: MANCINI ENTERPRISES SCOPE : Architectural Design for Eco Beach Resort at Pondicherry- India SERVICES : The design approach to this large (50 keys, 2 Restaurants, Pool, Spa) Resort enjoys the coexistence and contrast of a multitude of artistic expressions: Traditional houses are reassembled on their contemporary bases, Palmleaf huts are lavishly furnished with colonial furniture. Contemporary sculptures in the landscape, experimentation and collaboration of disciplines are at the base of this Hotel project. MY ROLE : Identified, documented and detailed traditional houses before relocation. Traditional indigenous construction techniques were researched, and disseminated to the workers.
