The Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia invites you to Make your Move and confirm your sponsorship package now for Medicines Management 2011, the 37th SHPA National Conference, 10–13 November 2011, in Hobart.

1. MAKE A MOVE As new and emerging roles for pharmacy staff continue to grow, hear from colleagues about practical examples of extended scope of practice and new ways of practicing pharmacy in novel health care settings.

The industry exhibition is an exciting and informative component of SHPA conferences and delegates always look forward to meeting with industry for up to date information on products and services. MM2010 was a huge success with well over 1000 delegates, 45 companies exhibiting and supporting plenaries, concurrent and pre conference sessions. SHPA are experiencing very significant growth in our membership with currently over 2800 members. This combined with the challenging and inspiring program developed by the Scientific Committee promises 2011 will be another successful continuing professional development event. The enclosed sponsorship prospectus offers a variety of packages and is designed to provide numerous opportunities for participating company’s brand exposure before and during the conference. In addition to the packages, I welcome the chance to discuss developing a sponsorship package individually tailored to meet your specific company requirements. To ensure sponsors have numerous opportunities to interact with delegates the Welcome Reception, tea breaks, lunches and poster viewing will be held in the exhibition hall. In 2008 we made the decision to no longer have conference satchels and although we still believe this is the best approach, to meet the needs of the delegates carrying around what has become a substantial handbook we are offering the opportunity for a company to provide simple calico bags that will be handed to the delegates with the conference handbook at registration. No items will be inserted into these bags. ENTITLEMENTS INCLUDE Placement of company logo on bag. The pre conference day at Medicines Management 2010 was very successful, attracting over 250 delegates. This is an excellent opportunity to target delegates at the start of their conference experience or who may not be attending the main conference program. The current circulation is approximately 2500. The Journal continues its high standards as a peer-reviewed journal reaching members of SHPA, Australian pharmacy schools, kindred pharmacy organisations in Australia and overseas and a number of institutional and individual subscribers. Terms and Conditions The Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia will hereafter be referred to as ‘the Organisers’. Sponsorship packages will be allocated in order of receipt of booking forms. The Organisers accept no liability for damage to exhibits by loss, damage, theft, fire, water, storms, strikes riots or any cause whatsoever. Sponsors are advised to insure against such liability. The Organisers reserve the right to change the venue and duration if circumstances demand at their discretion. The sponsor will indemnify the Organisers in respect of any claims and demands in respect thereof. The sponsor must take out adequate insurance in respect of all claims. The Organisers reserve the right to alter the Exhibition floorplan. Exhibits must not be removed and displays must not be dismantled either partly or in total before CLOSING TIME on the last day of the exhibition. All exhibits and display material must be removed by the time indicated in the sponsors manual. Sponsors may only conduct competitions or offer prizes with the permission of the organisers. The Sponsor undertakes that they will not hold any events, educationals or social functions at the same time as official Conference Program sessions or social functions. Sponsorship deposits are non-refundable. For cancellation of sponsorship at least 2 months prior to the commencement of the exhibition, full payments will be refundable if the Organisers are able to re sell the package. For cancellations less than 2 months prior to the commencement of the exhibition,all payments are non-refundable.
