INTRODUCTION The Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia invites you to participate in Medicines Management 2010, the 36th SHPA National Conference, 11 – 14 November 2010, in Melbourne. The industry exhibition is always an exciting and informative component of SHPA conferences and delegates always look forward to meeting with industry for up to date information on products and services. The combination of this year’s venue, the amazing Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre, an exciting and informative program and the significant growth in our membership to over 2400 members promises a very successful 2010 event with over 1000 delegates expected. The enclosed sponsorship prospectus offers a variety of options and is designed to provide numerous opportunities for participating company’s brand exposure before and during the conference. In addition to the packages, I would welcome the chance to discuss developing a sponsorship package individually tailored to meet your specific company requirements.

To ensure sponsors have numerous opportunities to interact with delegates the Welcome Reception, tea breaks, lunches and poster viewing will be held in the exhibition hall. We are continuing our commitment to having ‘green conferences’ and as a result there will be very little printed collateral. There is an opportunity to host a breakfast session on Saturday 13 November. Breakfast sessions will be promoted as part of the conference program in the online registration brochure and delegates will be able to book at time of registering. ADERVTISING OPPOTUNITUES DISCOUNTED ADVERTISING RATES JOURNAL OF PHARMACY PRACTICE AND RESEARCH The Journal of Pharmacy Practice and Research, the premier pharmacy publication in Australia has been the official journal of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia since 1966. The Journal aims to assist in the development of innovative pharmacy practice and research and to provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas for pharmacists and technicians from all practice settings. The current circulation is approximately 2500. The Journal continues its high standards as a peerreviewed journal reaching members of SHPA, Australian pharmacy schools, kindred pharmacy organisations in Australia and overseas and a number of institutional and individual subscribers. In 2010 the Journal will be published in March, June, September and December. In recognition of the support we receive from our conference sponsors, all sponsors of Medicines Management 2010, are offered a 20% discount on the 2010 advertising rates. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia will hereafter be referred to as ‘the Organisers’ • The Organisers accept no liability for damage to exhibits by loss, damage, theft, fire, water, storms, strikes riots or any cause whatsoever. Sponsors are advised to insure against such liability. • The Organisers reserve the right to change the venue and duration if circumstances demand at their discretion. The sponsor will indemnify the Organisers in respect of any claims and demands in respect thereof. The sponsor must take out adequate insurance in respect of all claims. • The Organisers [SHPA] reserve the right to alter the Exhibition floorplan • Exhibits must not be removed and displays must not be dismantled either partly or in total before CLOSING TIME on the last day of the exhibition. All exhibits and display material must be removed by the time indicated in the sponsors manual • Sponsors may only conduct competitions or offer prizes with the permission of the organisers • The Sponsor undertakes that they will not hold any events, educationals or social functions at the same time as official Conference Program sessions or social functions • Sponsorship deposits are non refundable. For cancellation of sponsorship at least 2 months prior to the commencement of the exhibition, full payments will be refundable if the Organisers are able to re sell the package. • For cancellations less than 2 months prior to the commencement of the exhibition, all payments are non refundable.
