Con Kennedy Visual Communications is a multidisciplinary design practice based in

Dublin, Ireland. We offer a number of communication design services including identity and branding, corporate literature and brochures, packaging, web sites, advertising, exhibition, trade shows, sales promotion and direct marketing. As designers, our objectives are to understand, interpret and translate each brief into a communications solution that best suits the client’s needs. We have successfully achieved these objectives with a wide spectrum of clients in a diverse range of industries.

RealWorld EDC Clinical Trial EndPoint has developed RealWorld EDC specifically for the collection of medical data in a clinical trial setting. RealWorld EDC offers advantages as the only electronic data capture (EDC) solution with a unique focus on post-approval studies. This service was developed by Clinical Trial EndPoint with input from doctors, nurses and patients as well as pharmaceutical clients. The identity we developed for RealWorld EDC reflected themes of partnership and the four stage process of the clinical trial. The four petal pattern, utilising transparency and colour created a modern international feel for RealWorld EDC, communicating trust, accessibility and reliability.

Top Quote Direct Insurance Rainey Gibson are an independent insurance intermediary based in Donegal. We were commissioned to develop both the brand identity and the user interface for their online presence Top Quote. As the client offers wide variety of policies with an extensive range of benefits and features the identity we developed reflected these concepts with the use of overlapping shapes combined with clear, strong typography that would render equally well in print or on screen. The interface of the website was designed with the user in mind, facilitating quick access to relevant sections with ease of obtaining insurance quotations.

Engineers Ireland Engineers Ireland are one of Ireland’s oldest professional bodies. Founded in 1835, they have over 24,000 members from every discipline of engineering. We produced this 6 page A4 document for the promotion of the Future Professional Programme, which is part of Engineers Ireland’s commitment to the professional development of their members and the sector. The Future Professionals Programme offers structured advancement to university graduates through two strands of intense professional development. The concept of progression and dual training was communicated though the use of strong graphics through the centre spread of this document.

Picturebox Picturebox provide photo, video and DVD based services for the home movie enthusiast. The brand identity was developed to represent the meeting of older 4:3 screen formats used in video and 8mm cine film with modern high definition 16:9 wide screen formats. As part of the development of this brand we produced vehicle livery, effective packaging solution of the client’s custom DVDs, a website, an advertising campaign, brochures and exhibition stand. This brand identity features in two international design publications Logolicious (Harper Collins) and Logolounge: Master Library Volume 3 (Rockport Publishing).

Digital Reach Digital Reach is an Irish-owned company focused on the digital advertising sector and is a specialist in Mobile Marketing and Publishing. Digital Reach specialises in mobile publishing and offers a full service including advertising sales, mobile apps, mobile internet sites and ad-serving technology. Following from discussions with the client to the strategic nature of the their business a clear themes of interaction, co-operation and partnership was identified. Taking the established icon for a mobile app - the square with rounded corners - a strong visual mark was developed utilising these shapes. Colour was used to communicate a multifaceted approach of Digital Reach’s business and the concept of interaction by the end user with the tactile aspect of the mobile device. This striking brand identity for one of Ireland’s innovative technology companies was specifically designed to work equally strong in print or on the web.

Refresh Digital Advertising We were approached by Refresh Digital to develop their brand identity while the company was being planned. With any design assignment it is crucial to engage with a designer during this initial phase. This was we can advice and help though the process of getting your brand positioning and message right. The brief was to communicate the refreshing flavour of a lime in the brand mark. We developed a striking graphic device that not only was representative of the shape of a lime but also was the recognisable ‘refresh’ button on web browsers. This brand identity features in the international design publication Logolounge: Master Library Volume 3 (Rockport Publishing).

Brasserie Le Pont Brasserie Le Point is a new restaurant serving classic French cuisine in an elegant and welcoming setting. Located at the gateway to the Georgian mile, where Fitzwilliam Place meets Leeson Street, Brasserie Le Pont has carved a niche for itself in the market as an exciting, vibrant and popular place to dine - a fuss free restaurant that in no way compromises on taste. The identity a was developed to express visually and clearly the brand values of the client using clear typography, with a hint of tradition, warm colours with a simple arc to graphically represent the French for bridge.

Service While U Fly We were commissioned by Irish Car Servicing to develop the brand identity and user interface for their Service While U service. The identity for this company which provides valet and car servicing for their customers while abroad, uses the upper case F from the typeface to create an image of an aircraft taking off. This is emphasised by the use of the identity at an angle and the sky blue colours used. The c and dot were conjoined to create the visual of a wrench tying the service and fly together. This identity featured in the German design and typography magazine Page.
