MONTHLY REPORT JANUARY 2017

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY We thank God for another year that we are beginning, where we can continue to serve and help those most in need, bringing hope and covering their needs and above all sharing the love and the word of God, which is the engine of everything we do. Each ministry has started on the right foot and with great energy after having enjoyed the Christmas holidays with our families and with those we love. We also feel challenged to go above and beyond all the things and activities we did last year, in order to give a better service to the communities and families that we bless and reach through our ministries. We also want to thank God for bringing to our ministry people who have that desire, passion and love for the missions, such as Jeicsy Rosales and Karen MejĂa who have been approved as base missionaries by the CPCI El Salvador board. This will help us to strengthen those areas that we need to improve in order to reach and bless more people.

SOCCER SCHOOL We entered January with a lot of excitement since everyone was ready to play ball and return to the training after a well-deserved holiday. We began training with the normal (morning and afternoon) hours as the kids also started their classes in the new school year. We started the year with a very special theme for this month that is: "Commitment" and are talking to the kids about how this value can be very important in all areas of your life. We have also resumed the games in the league in which we are participating and to give glory and honor to God we are playing a good role in the midst of win and loses. Thanks to God for what he does on and off the field to serve as a testimony to the teams we face.

PROYEXIĂ“N La Isla We started a new year supporting activities for the beginning of the school year on the island and encouraging children to attend school. Thank God we had the support of a group from Indiana and the Citala Baptist Church in Chalatenango, who supported us with two medical campaigns including medicines in two important areas of the island, in Quislua (the poorest area of the island) and in the Hacienda. Also, two more playgrounds were built for two of the schools on the island, this same team built one of these games in the middle of last year in one of the schools. Now all the three schools on the island have playgrounds for children to be more motivated to go to their school.

La Linea In La Linea we started the year celebrating finishing runner-up in a local soccer tournament for our young people. We thank God for this win and especially for the hearts of young people impacted by this program. We received the visit of brothers from Riverbend Church. Those who strongly support the programs that are implemented in La Linea also painted several over graffiti and cleaned up different points in the community with the purpose of changing the environment and making it more family friendly. The mayor's office of Ilopango donated part of the paint and approximately 40 walls, a park and a soccer field were painted. We also continue to motivate the community to create boards of directors and now there is already a second community that created this board. We have had meetings with mayoral leaders and with the mayor of Ilopango in order to work together on future projects within the community.

SPEAKING HOPE Praise the Lord! On January 23, we started the English classes in the AltaVista Sports Complex with the basic and intermediate levels, class schedules are from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. This year we are adding classes on Fridays, since previously they were given only on Mondays and Wednesdays.

We are working with four groups; two in the morning and two in the afternoon, with a good number of students, 79 in total. We also have two teachers Silvia Lรณpez with basic level and Jeicsy Rosales intermediate level who have created and are using a new book so that students can perform their homework,, practice grammar exercises and learn English vocabulary. COMMUNICATIONS We begin a new year full of challenges, in which we want to improve the entire multimedia and image area of CPCI El Salvador. We know that it will not be an easy task but we remember that we do everything for God, and that we want the best for the people we serve and for the people who are also part of our ministry and what we do.

More updates will be made to the website for a better access and update of the information of the missionaries, staff and volunteers that make up CPCI El Salvador. The design of the report has also been improved in order to make it more attractive and to reach more people so they can learn more about CPCI and what we do every month. You can also visit and share our website: cpcielsalvador.org

FARO PROJECT This past month we experienced the blessing of receiving a visitor from the United States, Aricka Gonzalez, who assisted with English classes. Aricka’s passion for Jesus was an encouragement to us as we continue to seek to serve Him in the youth centers. In each of the centers she shared a poem in English that described the spiritual life as a battle in which we must stay strong and firm in Jesus. The youth very much enjoyed the poem.

We are assisting a church in Apopa as they evaluate the possibilities of having a youth center associated with their church. Meanwhile we continue to support the youth centers in Soyapango and Pedregal with English classes, and hope to gather the pastors and coordinators of all the youth centers together for a meeting to share about their successes and challenges.

CLINIC During this month we are taking into account the sacred scripture "Master, we have been working hard all night and we have not caught anything, Simon answered. But as you tell me, but, as you tell me, I'll throw the nets.” Luke 5: 5 This shows us that when we do our work in obedience, doing the will of God and in the time that he indicates us, we will be able to fill with much blessing our institution and the people we serve. In this first month of the year, we have been able to work together with American brothers to carry out medical brigades on the La Calzada island, in coordination with the activities of Dr. Andrea Ostorga of the “OASIS health house” and the CFCI Proyexion team, where medical consultations and treatment were provided, as well as community development activities. During these brigade activities 282 consultations were given, including the delivery of 40 pairs of glasses and 23 intra-articular drug infiltrations. All this activity marks a precedent of cooperation and collaboration with brothers of other institutions and churches, in order to serve the people to whom we love.

In another perspective, during this month medical attention has continued in our clinic, having attended to 103 people during the month of January, being the women and children who most frequent our health care services. There were also 21 different dental care, including prophylaxis, extractions, fillings and dentures.

That makes a total of 361 people who during the month of January were benefited from the different services provided by CFCI El Salvador.

THE MASTER WORSHOP January was the first month of this year and we continued in our work to serve God and the less privileged first. God our Lord gave us the blessing of being able to organize and bring a team to visit young people in detention at the ISNA Center. These young people are very motivated with soccer training which happens each week with the help of our brother and former director of the CPCI Salvador El Salvador Training School, Jonathan Maltez, who decided to help us with this ministry. We also have the new participation of Brother José Rafael Cerón of the Church “Building the House” that will be volunteering in the visits to ISNA. The Master Workshop presented the “Carpentry Workshop” project to our director Jake Hjemvick for study and approval. The goal is to assist in the re-insertion into society of prisoners who are in work-release, and young people from some churches who need a technical vocation for personal and family support. The purpose of The Master´s Workshop is to reach, retain, instruct, guide, disciple and inspire young people for a Christian life of consecration and service.

POR GRACIA We thank our God for all his blessings that he shows us day by day because if it were not for his mercy, this ministry would not be working and blessing many lives. We are very happy to see all of our children back in school this January, very excited faces because another school year has begun, many dreams, purposes to be fulfilled and many lives blessed through ministry. For this New Year our goal as a ministry is to grow both in numbers and spiritually and to improve communication between the child and the sponsor. For that we have to work very hard during the year, but we know that with the help of God, everything is possible. Anxious to see the new challenges that this 2017 brings us and we always ask for your prayers, because they are the pillars that sustain this ministry.
