A paper I wrote for my Art History Theory & Methods class, a course requirement for the Visual Studies PhD program at UC Irvine.
The task was to take an essay we read in class, imitate the writing style and form but change the object of analysis. I imitated Yves-Alain Bois' "Introduction: Resisting Blackmail," and changed my object of analysis to the development of a young scholar of color.
