elcome to our 6th cocktail pocket guide. This 2011/2012 Winter cocktail guide provides lots of different cocktails for you to try. There are lots of interesting cocktails to tempt you – simple to make, but very flavoursome. We’ve also got a few pre-mixed cocktail options which allow even the most remote bars to provide a cocktail offering. We’ve some new brands too in this issue – belvedere Vodka, Cactus Jack, De Kuyper, Finest Call, Jose Cuervo, Kwai Feh, leblon, Mandarine Napoleon, Martin Miller’s Gin, Passoã, skipper Rum and Tia Maria. 15ml of lime cordial lemonade 6 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters

Method Add 15ml of lime cordial to a tall glass filled with ice. Top up with lemonade. Add 6 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters. Garnish with a slice of lemon or lime.

MULLED COSMOPOLITAN Ingredients 50ml belvedere Citrus or orange 25ml mulled cranberry juice* 15ml lemon juice Dash premium triple sec

Method shake all ingredients with cubed ice and garnish with a 3 clove studded orange twist.* To Mull Cranberry Juice: simply warm 1 litre of ocean spray Cranberry juice with 5 drops of grapefruit bitters, 3 cinnamon sticks, 2 cloves and 4 orange twists. Allow to cool and serve. Will keep for 2-3 days if refrigerated.

BRAZILIANAIRE DAIQUIRI Ingredients 1.5oz leblon 0.5oz Amereto 1oz Cinnamon gomme 1 freshly squeeze lime

Method Take a chilled martini glass wipe the rim with lime juice and dip in cinnamon sugar. Add lime wheel to the rim also. shake all your ingredients over ice in a boston tin and single strain into the prepped martini glass. Cocktail supplied by Viva brazil Glasgow.

Method Pour 25ml of sagatiba Velha into a shot glass. Dip the strawberry into the sagatiba Velha. Dip the sagatiba Velha soaked strawberry into the chilli sugar. Drink the shot and eat the strawberry afterwards.

Method in a highball glass half filled with cubed ice, build the ingredients in the following order: first the Three barrels brandy, then the De Kuyper Creme De Cassis. Top up with lemonade. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
