Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital serves the community with a dedicated team of health care professionals who work tirelessly to deliver a high standard of care. The hospital’s medical staff is comprised of general practitioners and specialists in obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, cardiology, neurology, pediatrics and more, all striving to combat illness, promote wellness and advance medicine. In addition to a 24-hour emergency room, the hospital provides maternity services, oncology services, lab services, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, respiratory and speech therapy, occupational medicine, and home health care. As part of its ongoing efforts to improve the quality of care for patients, Ste. Genevieve County Memorial opened the Bloomsdale Medical Centre in 2012. Offering state-of-the-art technology in a comfortable setting, the Centre specializes in personalized and efficient women’s health care and offers a primary care facility and pharmacy. The comprehensive center for women’s health and 14
wellness provides diagnostics, breast care and imaging, including digital mammography, ultrasound, bone density, stereotactic breast biopsy and private consultation rooms. The Family Health Care facility features exam rooms, blood draw, X-ray services and a pharmacy. Also, the Centre houses expanding specialty and clinic services. In April 2013 the Ste. Genevieve Area Chamber of Commerce honored the Bloomsdale Medical Centre with its annual Presidential Award in recognition of the Centre’s commitment to enhance the quality of life in the community.

Mercy Hospital Jefferson, formerly Jefferson Regional Medical Center, became part of Mercy on Feb. 1, 2013. Established in 1957, the hospital has 251 acute care beds, more than 1,370 co-workers and 170 medical staff members. It is the fifth-largest among Mercy’s 32 hospitals.
