Elementary School Programs Early Childhood Program The qualified 3 and 4 year old students who participate in the MISD Early Childhood Program are prepared to start kindergarten with a base of knowledge and classroom experience. Students attend school at select neighborhood elementary campuses.
Elementary Schools The 24 MISD elementary schools incorporate effective instructional methodologies and technological tools to lay foundations of understanding for each subject. Staff members
engage students in educational material while letting their imaginations soar. From learning the alphabet to learning algebra, elementary students are made ready to move into secondary education.
Magnet School Programs MISD has three elementary magnet schools, Bowie Fine Arts Academy, Pease Communication & Technology Academy and Washington Math & Science Institute, which serve kindergarten through sixth grade students.
Secondary Schools MISD has four junior high schools, two freshman schools, two traditional high schools,
