The Essex Review – four years on The Essex Review was published in June 2008 and to mark four years since its publication, CHC hosted a breakfast seminar with Minister Huw Lewis AM and members of the CHC Group who led workstreams to develop recommendations. Discussions centered around changes that have come about as a result of the review and also looked ahead to the challenges and opportunities facing the sector over the coming year. Inquiry into residential care for older people The Health and Social Care Committee undertook an inquiry into residential care for older people, and the Community Housing Cymru Group was invited to give evidence at the inquiry. Nick Bennett was joined by Richard Davies, Executive Director, Gwalia Care & Support and Kevin Hughes, Director of Care & Support, Pennaf Housing Group. Chief Executives get competitive Group Chief Executive Nick Bennett and Steve Jones, Chief Executive of Tai Ceredigion joined staff from Tai Eryri at a recent fun‐run, organised by Tai Eryri. Phillipa beats Olympic athletes

CHC Communications Awards

As the athletes gear up for the Olympics 2012, our Director of Central Services, Phillipa Knowles, has already beaten them over the finish line. Phillipa was selected as one of 5,000 runners from all over the UK to complete a 5 mile circuit of the track, which she completed in 40 minutes! Well done Phillipa!
