hank you for your ongoing support during our credit union merger. On February 16, 2014, we plan to complete our system conversion and extend you full access to our branches, ATM network and financial services.

This guide will help you understand the conversion process of your existing accounts and provide you with the resources to take advantage of our innovative financial tools. The merger with Community Choice expands the Credit Union’s footprint which dates back to 1935. As we continue on a journey making financial services available to more and more Michigan communities, we are reminded that our roots trace back to serving the best interests of our members through great service, low rates on loans and convenient access to products and services.

Your questions and feedback have been valuable to our staff while working through the merger process. Our Personal Advisors look forward to introducing you to our extended line of financial solutions and our GetBigReward$ program. The GetBigReward$ program provided members with more than $850,000 in credits and rebates for 2013. This is our way of thanking members for making Community Choice their primary financial institution. As we grow, we plan to reinvest resources into delivering you the best possible experience. That’s why plans are underway to renovate the Royal Oak branch, as well as some of our other branches. The Royal Oak branch will remain open throughout renovations to avoid any inconveniences to members. Stay tuned for details on the date of the grand re-opening of the Royal Oak branch and progress on other branch renovations. All debit card holders will receive a new ATM or VisaÂŽ debit card during the week of February 10. You can begin using your new card on February 15.

Community Choice checks

All checking account holders will receive a complimentary box of checks. Please begin using these new checks beginning on February 15.

e-Banking availability Feb 16

On February 16 you will be able to access e-Banking by visiting CommunityChoiceCU.com. In e-Banking you can make common account transactions from the convenience of your home.

System conversion complete Feb 16

On February 16 our system conversion will be complete! You can now take advantage of your new and improved services.

Access to branches and shared branch locations Feb 17

On February 17 you will have full access to all eight Community Choice branch locations. In addition, you can visit any of our shared branch locations in the CO-OP Network. Visit our website to locate your nearest shared branch location.

What happens to my ROME account?

All ROME accounts and balances will be transferred to Community Choice during merger weekend (February 14 – 16). If you already converted your account to a Community Choice account, please disregard the following information.

What will my account number be?

We will maintain your existing ROME account number and add a 77 and zeros to the beginning of the number to equal ten digits. For example if your ROME account number was 1234 it becomes 7700001234. Enter your account number utilizing the following format: 77_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Your Merger Guide | 2

Direct deposit and/or automatic payments?

All former ROME direct deposits and automatic payments will be directed to your new account number. After February 15, please update any direct deposit or automatic payment information (existing and new) with your new account number and your new routing number. Direct deposits or automatic payments to and from your checking account follow the format given below: • New routing number: 272079021 • New account number: 10377 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (Total of 13 digits – add “103” to the beginning of your new ten digit account number). • For savings account deposits/payments use the same routing number and “100” in front of your new ten digit account number #: 10077 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Debit cards:

All debit card holders will receive a new ATM or Visa® debit card and instructions the week of February 10. • Continue to use your ROME debit card through February 14. • Use your new Community Choice ATM or Visa debit card to access your account beginning February 15. • Please be sure to update any reoccurring payments with your new card number.

Checks:

• All checking account holders will receive a complimentary box of Community Choice checks. You can begin using your new Community Choice checks on February 15. • When ordering new checks, please use the format below: New routing number: 272079021 New account number: 10377 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (Total of 13 digits – add “103” to the beginning of your new ten digit account number). We will continue to honor and clear any outstanding ROME checks on your new account through August 2014.

Important information regarding the merger and system conversion cont. Dividends:

Eligible ROME accounts will receive a final dividend on Friday, February 14 and a final paper statement will be mailed to all account holders. Beginning February 15, Community Choice dividends will start to accrue for all dividend bearing share accounts.

What are the account fees?

Included with this guide are your account disclosures and a copy of our current fee schedule. In many cases our GetBigReward$ credits cover fees you may incur. • You will continue to follow the ROME fee schedule until February 14. • As of February 15, fees will be assessed according to the Community Choice fee schedule at the Emerald/Gold/Silver or Copper account level. • You will be eligible for our GetBigReward$ program levels and credits beginning March 1. At this time, your fees will be determined based upon your GetBigReward$ status. View page five to learn more about GetBigReward$.

Loans:

What happens to my loan and how do I make payments? Your loan and any balance or available balance will be transferred to Community Choice during merger weekend. Your original loan contract will be honored. This means no changes to your rate or term. Please set up any automatic payments or transfers within e-Banking beginning February 16.

Accessing your account through e-Banking:

Beginning February 16, access your account 24/7 through e-Banking. Visit CommunityChoiceCU.com to enter the following first time login information in the e-Banking login box: • Username (totaling nine characters): Your first initial, followed by the first five letters of your last name (if you have less than five letters, use your entire last name) then the last three numbers of your member number (or as many numbers as you need from the end of your member number to make your username a total of nine characters. For example, if your name is Maria Johnson and your member number is 12345, your username would be would be mjohns345. If your name is Maria John, your username would be mjohn2345. • Password: To receive your initial password, enter your username and click “Forgot Password.” You will receive your new password at the e-mail address you had on file with ROME Credit Union. You will no longer be able to access ROME’s homebanking system (It’s me 24/7) as of 5 p.m. on February 14. To access any previous statements or historical information, please visit this site prior to February 14 and print any important information.

Other:

Address changes/alternate addresses: Please notify us anytime you have an address change by completing an address change in e-Banking. If you have an active alternate address (e.g. you live in Florida in the winter), please call us at 877.243.2528 after February 17 and we’ll set up your alternate address. Your Merger Guide| 4


It’s time to Get rewarded for making the most of your membership Once the conversion is complete, you’ll automatically be enrolled in our member rewards program, GetBigReward$. Based on your level of participation you’ll receive reward credits beginning March 1. There are four levels determined by the number of active products and services you have: Emerald, Gold, Silver and Copper. Emerald and Gold levels receive monthly credits that can be used to offset fees or be refunded at the end of the year. Plus, Emerald members may be eligible to receive up to a 10% loan interest rebate on qualified loans! REWARD LEVELS

e-Banking allows you to check account balances, view transaction history, transfer funds, pay loans, open share accounts, view pending direct deposits, as well as many other useful features which you can learn more about on our website. Plus, our multi-factor authentication helps ensure your account is safe from identity theft.

How do I access e-Banking?

In the username field enter your first initial followed by the first five characters of your last name. For example, Maria Johnson would be mjohns. To receive your initial password, enter your username and click “Forgot Password.” You will receive your new password at the e-mail address you had on file with ROME Credit Union.

What is e-Pay and how do I sign up for it?

e-Pay is a service that’s free for all checking account holders that allows members to easily pay their bills. e-Pay is available 24/7, saves postage costs and is securely located in e-Banking. Community Choice Foundation Gives Big to local communities The Credit Union is committed to the philosophy of people helping people

T

he Community Choice Foundation has generously supported countless Southeast Michigan non-profits that improve the lives of some of our region’s most vulnerable families. The Foundation remains committed to organizations such as Vista Maria, Gleaners’ Food Bank, Cass Community Social Services, Kids Without Cancer, and Life Remodeled. The Community Choice Foundation is also committed to the future of our state. By awarding more than $500,000 in college scholarships to students who pledge to stay in Michigan after graduation, the Community Choice Foundation encourages our best and brightest to use their time, talents and education to improve Michigan’s future. Community Choice Credit Union began when a group of neighbors agreed to pool their financial resources by placing $5 in a bowl. This money was available for those individuals to borrow in a time of need.

Community Choice Credit Union continues the tradition of strength in numbers through its annual Give Big Weekend. For one weekend every year, Community Choice Credit Union team members and their families Give Big by volunteering together with a variety of area non-profits. Community Choice team members have spent thousands of hours volunteering with organizations such as Gleaners’ Food Bank, The American Red Cross, Vista Maria Shelter, The Detroit Zoo, Forgotten Harvest, The Michigan Miracle League and area parks. The Foundation also donates toy bears to local fire departments to give to a child at the time they’ve experienced a traumatic event. We invite you to get involved with our Foundation through volunteering with us during Give Big Weekend, encouraging friends or family to apply for a scholarship, or by contributing a donation to help us maximize our community outreach initiatives. In addition, we encourage businesses to sponsor Scholars who will play a pivotal role in the future of our great state.
