Time Saving Dinner Tips We’re living in a age where we work long or unsociable hours and it’s hard to find time to prepare meals, especially if you are a working parent and juggling household duties with work. Here’s my top 3 tips for quick, easy and nutritional meals. 1 Use frozen veg - it’s time consuming preparing vegetables for the table. Washing, peeling, slicing and dicing all takes time. Most of the frozen veg nowadays is blast-frozen so the important nutrients are preserved 2 Freezing down - it may be an idea to pre-prepare food when you have got time and freeze them down for dinners throughout the week. Dinners like bolognese, chilli con carne and lasagne. 3 Slow cookers - these are an absolute godsend: you can put all of your ingredients in them in the morning and when you return from work or the teenage kids come home from school, there’s a hot meal ready . Stews, soups, curries are some of the options you have.
