SEPTEMBER BIA MEETING The membership of the BIA of Central SC met on Tuesday, September 10 at the Capital City Club for a General Meeting. The winners of the 2019 Central Carolina Building & Remodeling Awards were announced and our special guest speaker was Tommy Suggs, Carolina Football Radio Color Analyst. Judges reviewed all of the projects in person or by the submitted entry and determined winners in each category. Both award programs are sponsored by Columbia Metropolitan magazine. During this meeting, we revealed the award winners in each program.

Winners of the Custom Building Awards Lee Blythe of Blythe Building Company, Henry Clay of Columbia Metropolitan Magazine, R.B. Gallup of Gallup & LaFitte, Design Build and Matt Gilpin of Gage Construction

September brings college football season and we like to get a speaker related to this exciting time. This year we were fortunate to have Tommy Suggs, Carolina Football Radio Color Analyst as our guest speaker. Tommy gave us some insights to his weekly gameday prep, shared that he is currently the 2nd longest-running active radio announcer in the country, and told some great stories of Gamecock football from his many years in broadcasting and playing on the team. 5
