Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Ms. Alexander and I will be your new teacher for this upcoming year. I believe in learning through arts integrated exploration, and have planned some great activities for us throughout this year. Our classroom is 210 and I look forward to seeing you there Monday Morning! I want you to bring with you, a favorite item of yours to share with the class, your imagination and these listed items as survival tools throughout the year. •
A Medium sized box decorated (however you wish) to add in listed items:
A cotton ball to remind you that this room is full of kind words and warm feelings. A chocolate kiss to comfort you when you are feeling sad. A tissue to remind you to help dry someone's tears. A sticker to remind you that we all stick together and help each other. A star to remind you to shine and always try your best. A gold thread to remind you that friendship ties our hearts together. A rubber band to remind you to hug someone. A penny to remind you that you are valuable and special. A toothpick to remind you to "pick out" the good qualities in your classmates. A bandage to heal hurt feelings in your friends and in yourself. An eraser to remind you that we all make mistakes and that is O.K. A life saver to remind you that you can come to me if you need someone to talk to.
