Did the creation of Israel cause a conflict in the Middle East that can not be undone? The conflict already presented between the opposing religious sides of Islam were fired by the injection of a counterculture of Judaism which directly opposes Muslim believes creating another aspect of the “holy war”. Most would agree that the Jews were greatly effected in WWII by the mass slaughter of 6 million of them, but just dropping them off in somebody else’s back yard didn't help. The making of an independent Jewish nation has proved to be bad medicine for the Middle East, and prevail to be an issue even in the present day with the current President. Palestine already was populated by over a half million people. (Schaff) it didn’t matter if Jews came, they had been settling there for many years. They had purchased large pieces of the land. By 1948, Palestine was a mix of Jews and Palestinians, after Israel became a nation state most of them were changed dramatically. (Schaff)Immediately, war broke out between the new country of Israel, and surrounding Arab nations. (Schaff) and it still has today, making it one of the most hostile places to live. Over 725,000 Palestinians sought refuge in nearby lands, mainly Lebanon. After the war, the Israeli government began removing Palestinians from their lands, by force. Between 1948 and 1967, nearly 400 Palestinian villages were completely razed, and taken over be Israel. (Schaff) mostly were Jews getting the new land. Almost all farmland owned by the Palestinians was confiscated. Palestinian farmers were left with only small parcels of poor land (Schaff).Which left the Palestinians angry because of the hard work and culture created there for them. The Religious viewpoints of Christians about the “Promised Land” were not the main view point of the Zionist movement that called for the creation of a new nation of Israel. (Schaff) though it is the main reason in modern times. What moved the early Zionists were concerns for the political and cultural security of Jews and creators of Israel were secular Jews. Still, some historians point out that nearly all Jewish settler
unquestionably believed "that they had in some way been chosen to 'redeem the Land' and to shift. (Schaff) the bible clearly points out, how Israel was given to the Israelites. Nearly the entire main voices modern equivalent of the Philistines and Canaanites." For that reason, secular political leaders drew on Promised Land imagery to excuse of their politics. (Schaff) Which to this day has kept the Israelis to keep there land. While in America and the USSR there was a cold war going on, in Israel guns were blazing and tanks rolling against the Muslim nations that threatened it. As the website that reports middle eastern events said, the SixDay War involved three distinct battlefronts, tied together by a shared desire on the part of the surrounding Arab states to eliminate Israel and erase the shame of their defeat 19 years earlier when they failed to destroy the nascent Jewish state (CAMERA). This in turn was the coming out party for the power known as Israel, making it a for sure player in the ever screaming Middle East. After the fact of a war, the Israelis became the counter to the Muslim drug that was being spread far and wide in the land. Egypt, Jordan, and Syria were the three big powers that attacked Israel in 1965 (CAMERA). With miscommunication on the side of the Israelis it took a very short time before the powers at hard were pushed back into there own land and then made to call a ceasefire. This gave Israel the reputation of a heavy weight in the ring that it would fight for the next 50 years. On June 6, Israeli Foreign Minister Abba Eban travelled to New York to forestall a UN Security Council ceasefire (CAMERA). Helping to bring the UN into a state in which it was shown as a power able to have some control on the nations, Israel made a concrete event that made the UN. With this set back from an unyielding defeat from Israel the Middle Eastern nations would forever resent the Jewish nation. Even 70 years after the creation of the nation Israel, there is still heated conflict between the
occupants of the Middle East. The HamasIsraeli conflict is a subconflict of the PalestinianIsraeli conflict, itself a subplot of the larger ArabIsraeli conflict(Tristam).Even after years of war the Palestinians still show no slow in the effort to gain a state for themselves. The HamasIsraeli conflict especially is complicating prospects of peace between Palestinians and Israelis, not least because Hamas, a militant, Sunni fundamentalist organization, is in conflict with Fatah, the secular Palestinian organization. Hamas doesn't recognize Israel's right to exist. Fatah does. But Hamas' lawmakers have been duly elected to a majority of the Palestinian parliament. Israel doesn't recognize their legitimacy. Israel is much more trouble than it is worth and if correctly handled from the start, which implicates that the nation should have never been made, and should be dismantled to please the strong Muslim leadership.(Tristam) Never before had so many been displaced by a war that effected so many, this in turn called for the making for nation for the Jews, Israel was born and the birth of a heap of trouble was unleashed. Unfortunately this poison of hate and war would spill over to every corner of the world bringing the nations to the knees with fear and confusion.
