The Grupo Sinop celebrates, this year of 2013, 65 years of foundation. This History began in Paraná State in 1948, with Enio Pipino, Nilza Oliveira Pipino and João Pedro Moreira de Carvalho, who founded several cities, including: Terra Rica, Ubiratã, Formosa do Oeste, Jesuítas and Iporã. In 1971, these cities pioneers, with their enormous experience and notoriety, came to Mato Grosso State, where they began the Colonization of Gleba Celeste and, believing in the economic and productive potential of this Region of Brazil, they founded the towns of Vera, Sinop, Santa Carmen and Cláudia. The city of Sinop, founded in 1974, soon stood out and remains notable as Regional Pole in health, industry and commerce in general and especially while university town, counting with various higher education institutions public and private. Sinop is now a regional center for 30 cities and has more than 500 thousand inhabitants. The sustainable growth of Sinop –

that has always been the motto of the Company - reflects the concern of Grupo Sinop with the Valorization of its History. Since the beginning, it was conceived a Company always concerned with the quality of life of the cities where it operates. It can be seen that this goal is being met when we see the amount of green space planned and implemented by Colonizadora Sinop in their cities - on average 40m² per person - nearly three times the average recommended by the UN (United Nations), which is 15m². The continued and rapid development of the city of Sinop occurred and occurs thanks to the courage and determination of its founders and pioneers, who with their struggles, joys and sorrows, made their contribution in this long journey. With the death of Mr. Enio Pipino and João Pedro Moreira de Carvalho in 1995, in the city of Bebedouro (SP), their successors felt that to continue this beautiful and hard work of the Company, would be needed some changes that have occurred over the last 17 years, in an attempt to achieve the objectives dreamed up by these visionaries. Among these changes, we highlight the work of professionalization that has been realized for 04 years and, in addition to generating security,

From the Sociedade Imobiliária Noroeste do Paraná (Real Estate Company of Northwest of Paraná) came out the acronym that gives name to the group and to the city in the north of Mato Grosso. The history of Grupo Sinop began in 1948 when the entrepreneurs Enio Pipino and João Pedro Moreira de Carvalho founded the Sociedade Imobiliária Noroeste do Paraná (Real Estate Company Northwest of Paraná), established in Presidente Venceslau, in the countryside of São Paulo state. Soon the name became acronym and the company was renamed Sinop Terras and transferred the headquarters to Maringá, focusing on colonize the North and Northwest of Paraná. The colonization began by the town of Terra Rica, following with Iporã, Ubiratã, Formosa do Oeste, Jesuítas, besides the districts of Adhemar de Barros, Nilza, Vila Iverã, Yolanda, and Marajó and Carajá. In 1970, the Sinop Terras began investing in Mato Grosso encouraged by the military government that wanted to occupy the Amazon. Initially, bought 650 acres of land and named it Gleba Celeste. “It was when the Sinop Terras was renamed Colonizadora Sinop, because

the President Emílio Médici Garrastazu called us colonists “, recalls the director Alfredo de Oliveira Neto Clodoaldo. The colonization of northern of Mato Grosso started through the cities of Vera, Sinop and Santa Carmen, which composed the Gleba Celeste. In a

Company Taking care of the cities to enhance the countryside The Sinop Grupo’s strategy was to create support cities to purchasers of rural lands that lived isolated When the Sinop Terras defined that would colonize a new city, the strategy was well delineated: sell rural lands and use cities to support buyers and workers. It was like this in Sinop, Vera, Santa Carmen and in Cláudia Mato Grosso – and in Formosa do Oeste, Iporã, Jesuítas, Terra Rica and Ubiratã - Paraná. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Sinop, Lélia Maria de Araujo Vieira, remembers that the strategy defined by Enio Pipino, Nilza Pipino and João Pedro Moreira de Carvalho was strictly followed and that success was guaranteed. “The three had been established that the business was selling ranches and farms, but they knew very well that for the business to prosper was necessary to give infrastructure for the buyers of land and workers. That was done by Grupo Sinop until the city had an administrator

Sinop provided the machinery that had to develop the region,” emphasizes. Lélia adds that the actions were also made in the cities, in order to retain residents and make them one of the most powerful tools of propaganda since they kept in touch with relatives and friends in the South, and potential (...) actions also were customers. made in the cities, in order “Where Mr. Enio arrived, he to retain residents and carried along a logging company make them one of the to provide the raw material for most powerful tools of building, he sought to implement propaganda since they kept public services and maintaining in touch with relatives and close relationship with the Catholic friends in the South, the Church, because he knew that potential customers. In 1981, Sinop Agroquímica came into operation using cassava produced primarily in a large farm of the company, which is next to the airport.

“The Sinop Agroquímica declared bankruptcy in 1987. In 1989, all debts had been paid with resources from the Colonizadora Sinop and with the own resources of Enio Pipino and of João Pedro Moreira de Carvalho”, said Furlan. RESTART - In 1990, Agroquímica was ready to resume activities with a new raw material: sorghum. The Colonizadora Sinop encouraged the production chain, selling lands in exchange of sorghum produced. The Bank of Brazil promised incentives to farmers and Sinop Agroquímica invested in the production of 13 thousand hectares. The production was growing and, according to Furlan, at the peak, the company came to consume 120,000

tons of sorghum per day under the care of 320 employees. The alcohol, of high quality, was mainly sold to companies in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro that manufactured vodka, whiskey and perfume. “Rows of carts were formed to carry alcohol to unload sorghum and wood waste from clearing forest,” says the former director. In 1994, the company suffered another financial setback, caused mainly by the lack of infrastructure in the region. According to Furlan, lacked warehouses to store sorghum produced for the whole year and the Bank of Brazil has not complied fully with the promise to finance production. In 1996, the company finished

paying all employees and suppliers, and was officially closed. In 2001, the structure was sold to another group that uses it in Minas Gerais. Even though the dream of Enio Pipino and João Pedro Moreira de Carvalho in relation to Sinop Agroquímica has not been realized, Geraldo Furlan believes the company was important for the city and region. “The benefits are immense. The phone arrived here, the TVs, the BR-163 was built to bring equipment and ensure the production, ministers and presidents visited Sinop and the airport was made to receive them”, he concludes.

Iporã was the second city founded by Grupo Sinop. The colonization process began in 1951, when the Sociedade Imobiliária Noroeste do Paraná bought lands from Paraná government. Because of the rivers in abundance, the city was named Iporã, which in their language means “good water”. The town began with the hope in the coffee, which did not work. It had peak with mint and now lives of soybeans and corn On February 19th of 1956, the Grupo Sinop founded the third city in Paraná, in the grounds of Gleba Rio Verde, in the center-west of the state. Ubiratã received the Indian name corresponding to “hard wood” after contest performed by the colonizers. Buyers of lots would have the right to choose a name and made the choice. The sales in Ubiratã were concentrated in coffee production, which did not work due to the

weather in the Paraná midwest, characterized by frost in the winter and high temperatures in the summer. The commerce and services also make Ubiratã a city of prominence in the Community of Municipalities of the Region of Campo Mourão (Comunidade dos Municípios da Região de Campo Mourão (COMCAM)) and in the micro region of Goioerê.

Currently, the city has, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), 21 500 inhabitants, but between the years 1967 and 1970, had a peak population coming to house 67,000 residents, according to the first mayor, Osmar Bertoli. “Only on my farm, reached the number of 70 families”, he said, explaining that the presence of so many people was stimulated by the production of mint, bought in

one payment by a Chinese group. The mint ceased to be the main source of the local economy, but agriculture is not. The city produces soybeans, wheat, cotton and corn in two seasons. The poultry for slaughter begins to gather momentum in Ubiratã. This city of Mato Grosso was the first to receive the name of a woman in tribute to the families of colonists That Vera is the name of a town in northern Mato Grosso many people know, but what few realize is that the city has informally a surname: Lúcia Figueiredo Coelho. It is the full name of a niece of Enio and Nilza Pipino, who lived with the colonists in Paraná. Interestingly, Vera Figueiredo not knows the city Vera. “Uncle Enio always joked. - Gosh, you do not know the city in your tribute!

This city formed the basis for the opening of Sinop and Santa Carmen. It was in Vera that the Grupo Sinop set up its first office in Mato Grosso and began advertising to attract Southerners in search of fertile rural lands at low prices.

Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to meet”, she says, noting that she did not know who would be honored with the name of the city. “I was warned.” Vera is the first city to honor relatives of colonists. It was also the first settlement in Mato Grosso, being inaugurated on July 27th of 1972. This city formed the basis for the opening of Sinop and Santa Carmen.

Along with the opening of the cities, the Grupo Sinop had a concern to know the climatic conditions of the region that they began to explore. It was strategic information for the sale of rural and arable areas. On the day of the foundation of Vera, it was also inaugurated the first weather station in the region, built by Grupo Sinop. The same station still works and is under the care of the electronics technician Genildo dos Santos, who works for the Ministry of Agriculture. Every day, he makes three collections of information, observes the time visually and sends newsletters to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) in Brasilia. The Inmet does the weather forecast and provides the information to TVs, radios and newspapers. Genildo dos Santos likes to know that his information is disclosed in the press, but says the work has a most important function, the same for which the station was established at the beginning of Vera. “It is especially important for agriculture. Because it is important to know the amount of rain that falls in each period”, he concludes. Grupo

The history of Grupo Sinop has some events that were crucial for success of their 65 years. One of these events was the meeting of Enio Pipino and João Pedro Moreira de Carvalho with Aunt Carmen, in the countryside of São Paulo state. João Carvalho had the lands but had no money to manage them as a farm. Enio Pipino had influence and knowledge. Not money. However they had Aunt Carmen, who was a sort of “Colonel skirts” in Presidente Venceslau. Aunt Carmen yes, she had money. And

Cities City designed to perpetuate the Sinop

Colonists wanted to immortalize the name of the company and placed it in the city with the highest growth potential Sinop was planned to be the largest city colonized by Enio Pipino and João Pedro Moreira de Carvalho. For this reason it was named after the company. It was the way encountered to perpetuate the work begun 65 years ago. The urbanist architect and counselor of the Grupo Sinop, Clodoaldo Alfredo de Oliveira Neto, explains that the colonists knew the layout of the BR-163 and therefore believed that Sinop had the capacity to be the

most developed city. “Sinop was conceived in the Gleba Celeste project, which also forecasted the opening of Santa Vera and Carmen. It was planned to be the pole not only of Gleba Celeste, but of the entire region north of Mato Grosso, so that the initial project is to accommodate 150,000 inhabitants. If you get the map, put a compass in the middle of Sinop and turn, you will see that in the center there are approximately 30 cities”, he explains.

The doctor Jorge Yanai was one of people attracted by the potential of Sinop. He reveals that he needed a ruse to convince the wife to move. “When I met Sinop, I saw a huge potential and decided to invest here. But the city was in formation and I had to use a trick to convince my wife to come. I took a photo of Campo Grande and said it was Sinop. She liked it and came. She got a shock, but did not regret it”, remembers humorous.

The first urban project of Sinop had to be changed. It was modern and there was no structure to be executed satisfactorily. Then in 1977, the architect and urban planner Clodoaldo Alfredo de Oliveira Neto joined to the Grupo Sinop and made changes to adapt the city. Even then, Enio Pipino thought to attract colleges. He wanted the Federal University of Mato Grosso (Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso (UFMT)) and determined that it was an area reserved for donation. “I asked Mr. Enio how much it was to book. He said to do the same size as the State University of Maringá (Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)). Then split 25 acres, an exaggeration for the season, but Mr. Enio was right, as history has shown”, he concludes. Grupo

Yanai received a donation of a land for the construction of the Hospital e Maternidade Dois Pinheiros, which still serves the city. He remembers that scared the colonizer with the request. “Mr. Enio asked what space I needed to build the hospital. I said that a block was enough and he was amazed with the request. Because I did not know it was a super block, as are all here in Sinop. At the end, I got a fair space and that would serve well today”, he explains. Attracting people to

It is an attachment to the initial project of the Gleba Mercedes, who was named 5th part. Like Vera and Santa Carmen, the town was named Cláudia in honor of a family member: Cláudia Regina Campos de Carvalho, youngest granddaughter of João Carvalho at the time. Cláudia Carvalho confirms that it was custom of colonists naming cities and places with names of the women of the family. She admits, jokingly, that this even caused the jealous of her daughter during a visit to the city. “My daughter even complained: who would give her name for something. If you have the name

of the mother and aunt, why not have her name ‘. We have to do more projects “, jokes the mother, who is a member of the Board of Grupo Sinop.

The goal was to give better structure for farmers who had lands 90 kilometers away from Sinop. The process of opening the city began in 1978. The urbanist architect and counselor of Grupo Sinop, Clodoaldo Alfredo de Oliveira Neto, author of the project of the city, says the goal was to give better structure for farmers who had lands 90

kilometers away from Sinop. “I planned a city for 20,000 inhabitants who would serve the residents of the lots in the 5th part, which were being sold. It is a city with wide avenues and rectangular blocks with preserved green areas and streams in urban perimeter “, he explains. The lands of 5th part attracted farmers from southern Brazil. A large portion of the residents of Claudia is formed by people who had the land flooded by the Itaipu Mill. The farmer Jude Feldhaus is one of those people. He left Santa Helena, Paraná, and arrived to Claudia in 1980 after receiving compensation for flooding. “An office of Colonizadora Sinop in Maringá had quite publicity about these areas and I have

Articles Enhancement of the employee

Artur Fernandes Filho Psychologist (Coach)

“More important than the evolution of creation, is the evolution of the creator.” Jacob Levi Moreno All agree that the creation, innovation and expansion of business of any company is inextricably linked to overcoming challenges, to maintain what has been achieved, as well as structural changes. A Great awakening that has taken

This type of learning occurs with the use of informational resources and behavioral feedback. It is, therefore, a

process where the employee is exposed to the discovery and understanding of potential abilities he possesses, however, is not yet in contact with them (Insight). Learning through experimentation, feedback, analysis and sharing actions that simulate reality, enables continuous improvement of the results in the performance of roles. Through the process of coaching, the Leader Coach searches results with the highest quality and the lowest possible wear, streamlines professional relationships, personal and related roles.
