Asabonustheclubobtainedsole tenancyofShaweViewviaa30 yearlease,andsubstantialground improvementswereundertaken.

1990/91ManagerDavidLawtook NorthTraffordto2ndplaceinthe Mid-CheshireLeagueDivision2& werepromotedtotheDivision One.

Theclubwasformedinsummer 1990,beingthebrainchildof DavidBrown,JohnHarrison,David Law,andBillWhittenunderthe nameNorthTrafford,sharing ShaweViewwithTraffordBorough RugbyLeagueClub.Afterinitially beingdeniedentrance,alate withdrawalresultedintheclub beinginvitedtojoinDivision2of theMid-CheshireLeaguefor 1990/91season.

Thefirstgameatcompetitivelevel versusMacclesfieldCollegewas won3-1,leadingtoafinishin secondplace,andpromotionto DivisionOne.

1991/92sawprogresscontinueon thefieldas4thplacewasachieved coupledwithasuccessful applicationtojoinDivision2ofthe NorthWestCountiesLeague.

1992/93theclubhadanother goodseasonendingwithin7th placeintheNWCLDivision2.

1993/94amagnificentsecond halfoftheseasoninwhich20out of22gameswerewon,resultedin 2ndplaceandpromotionto DivisionOne.Additionallythefirst trophywaswonviaa3-1victory versusMaghullintheLamotPils Cup.Promotionwasdependenton furthergroundimprovements resultingintheerectionof floodlightsandtheSouthStand, whichwasgranted.

1994/95waslaunchedunderthe club'spresentname,endingin4th placeanddefeatsinthefinalsof theManchesterSeniorandCarling Cups,progressbeingmaintained thenextseasonvia3rdplaceand reachingthelast16oftheF.A, Vaselosingtotheeventual winners,BriggTown.

1995/96Traffordhadanother successfulleagueprogramme finishingin3rdplace.

1996/97wasundoubtedlyour mostsuccessful,winningthe N.W.C.L.andgainingpromotionto Division1oftheUnibondLeague butlosingoutinthefinalsofthe ManchesterSeniorCupandthe LeagueCup.DavidLawwhohad managedtheclubsinceinception wasnamedN.W.C.L.Managerof theYear,andtheReserveswonthe N.W.C.LReserveDivision,the ReserveLeagueCup,andthe ManchesterAmateurCup.

1997/98sawanindifferentstart buttheclubfinishing12th,anda furthertrophywaswon,the UnibondFirstDivisionCup, beatingLincolnUnited3-1.

1998/99startedwiththe appointmentofMarkMolyneaux asassistantmanagertoDavidLaw, takingoverthereinsinthe December,andguidingustoa finalplaceof14th.

1999/2000ManagerMark Molyneauxalongwithhisassistant WayneGoodisonguidedTrafford tovictoryintheUnibond President’sCupFinalbeating WhitbyTowninthe2ndlegon theirground.

2000/01Traffordfinishedthe seasonwiththirteengames unbeatenrunplacingthemin5th place,theirhighesteverleague positionintheclub’selevenyear history.

2001/02sawMarkMolyneaux resigntotakeoveratfellow UnibondFirstDivisionside Chorley,withtheclubfinishingin 15thplace.Traffordthen appointedJoeyDunnasthenew manager.

2002/03theresultsdidn’tcome Trafford’swayandatChristmasthe clubdecidedtoreleasemanager JoeyDunn&appointthevastly experiencedMikeMcKenziewho haswonsomanyhonoursasa managerintheUnibondLeague.

Sadlyresultsstilldidn’tcome& Traffordwererelegatedtothe NorthWestCountiesLeague. 2003/04ByOctoberTrafford decidedtopart-companywith MikeMcKenzieafterfinding themselvesin19thpositionin DivisionOne.Amonthlater Traffordappointed28yearold formerLeighR.M.I.ReserveTeam ManagerDannyJohnsonasthe newmanager.Withinacoupleof weekstheresultschangedand Traffordbegantoimprovedtheir leagueposition.

2004/05Bytheendofseason DannyJohnson’syoung entertainingsidefinishedin16th positionwith50points.Trafford didn’thavemuchjoyinanyofthe cupcompetitionsbutfinishedin animproved12thpositionon56 points.WhiletheReserveTeam wontheirthirdCountyCupinfour seasonsbywinningthe ManchesterF.A.Trophy. 2005-06wasTraffordgotofftoa flyingstartintheLeagueandhada goodrunintheFAVase,butsadly couldn’tmaintaintheirleague formthroughouttheseason finishingin14thposition Season2006-07sawTraffordfinish in5thplaceintheNWCLDivision Onetheclub’sbestcampaign

ColneFCwereformedinJanuary 1996,byagroupoflike-minded peopleunderthewingofnowLife PresidentDaveBlacklock.The enthusiastscombinedtheir strengthsandknowledgeofnonleaguefootball,andarrangements weremadeforanewclubtouse thevacantHoltHouseStadium, onceusedbytheDynamoesinthe NorthWestCountiesFootball LeagueDivisionTwo. ColneFC’sfirstevercompetitive gamewasonthe17thAugust1996 againstMiddlewichandtheresult endedina1–0defeat.Theteam wasthenmanagedbyKeith Mason,butafterhisresignation soonafter,DenzelHartwas appointedtothehotseat.Hisfirst gamewasa6–0defeatawayat AshtonTown,butjusttwogames laterColneFCrecordedtheirfirst evervictorythumpingBacup Borough5–2.Thehighlightofthe season,comingwhenthereserves wontheBEPCupatClitheroe’s Shawbridgeground. Inthesummerof2002James Webstertookcontroloftheclub, tobecometheyoungestchairman intheleagueattheageof24.

Theseasonwascappedbyan amazingrunintheFAVasefora NorthWestCountiesFootball LeagueDivisionTwoclub,they progressedallthewaytotheSemiFinals,(viaanincredible1–2away winatAFCWimbledon)before beingdefeatedovertwolegs4–3 onaggregatetoAFCSudbury. Astheseasonprogressed attendancesstartedtoriseasthe localpopulationrealisedwewere nolongerthewhippingboysofthe league,andthefamousREDARMY wasformed.

InNovember2013Colne’s managerforthepast10years NigelCoatessteppeddownfrom thehotseatandformerColne playerSteveCunninghamwas appointedmanager,withanother formerColnefavouriteTedCockett ashisNo.2andCoach.

SteveandTedhadambitiousplans fortheclubandwastednotimein bringinginafewnewfacesto boosttheplayingsquad, consolidatingfortherestofthe seasonbutwithbighopesand plansforthefollowingseasons.

Season2014/15provedtobea yearofprogressintermsofleague placing,withColnefinishinga creditablefourth.

Season2015/16provedtobethe besteverinColneFCtwentyyear history.TheRedsbattledforthe NWCFLPremiertitlewithRuncorn LinnetsandAthertonCollieries withtheRedswinningthetitlewith an81minutegoalat1874 Northwichsecuring100pointsand 100+goalsupontheway.The RedsalsoreachedtheFinalofthe LeagueCupbeforefallingto Atherton.

2016/17sawtheclubcompeteat Step4forthefirsttimeintheir historyandfinishedamorethan creditable5thandthefinalplay-off spotwhichtheRedslostinthe semi-finaltoFarsleyCeltic.The Colnefansearnedmanyaccolades throughouttheseasonfortheir fineandvocalsupportoftheteam. The2017/18seasonsawSteve Cunninghamleadhisteamfor anothertiltatthetitle.Anew ChairmanRyanHaighwas appointed inJune2017 andwiththe backingof UtilityRenewals. 2018/19sawanewerafortheclub withtheformationoftheNPLWest Division.AgainColnesuffered play-offheartachelosingtoalast minuteextra-timegoalintheSemiFinalatLeekTown. 2019/20sawtheseasonnulland voidedduetotheCovidepidemic withColneinamid-tableposition. Attheendoftheseasonlongtime managerSteveCunningham steppeddownandwasreplaced byNathanRooney.

2020/21Withanewmanagerand backroomstaffinplaceColne werelookingforwardtobeinga challengerinaverystrongleague. Colneendedthecurtailedseason sittinginfirstplaceafternine games.

2021/2022Thisseasonwasour 25thanniversarysincethedemise ofColneDynamoesandhadthe challengeofanewleaguetoplay inwithseveralnewsigningsand LeePughtakingoverascaptain fromlongtimeservantAlex Coleman.After13gamesandwith thesquadblightedbyinjuriesto keyplayers,therecordwasPlayed13,won5drawn3,lost5.In theFACupweplayedourold friendsTraffordawayandtook thembacktoHarrisonDrivetowin thereplay2-1.Nextupwere StalybridgeCelticawaywhowe beat1-0beforelosingathometo GuiseleyAFC1-0.
