Stop to gaze at the sky above and be amazed at the dancing colors in the sky. (B, D) Day 5: Kakslauttanen - Santa Claus’ Home Reindeer Safari - Northern Lights Awake amidst the dramatic scenery. Experience the nature around you as you mush your way to breakfast in a Finnish sleigh. Learn the origins of Santa Claus during a meet and greet at his home (seasonal). The Christmas cheer is an undeniable component of the Lappish culture. This evening, prepare for an Arctic adventure exploring the remote areas of Kakslauttanen on a reindeer safari. A reindeer farmer introduces you to your companions, the Finnish reindeer! Sip a traditional Lappish drink of warm berry juice as you sleigh through the unspoiled wilderness. Cozy under the blankets, continue your search for the northern lights. (B, D) Day 6: Kakslauttanen - Husky Safari - Northern Lights Search Begin an exquisite day in the Arctic as commander of your own dog sled team!

Enjoy your last night in Kakslauttanen in the heart of Lappish wilderness. If you choose to upgrade your accommodations, you may find the northern lights dancing over your private glass igloo. (B, D) Day 7: Kakslauttanen - Helsinki This morning say farewell to Lapland as you board your flight back to Helsinki. Your afternoon is at leisure to explore the city’s central squares, charming shops, and the latest Finnish trends. Finally, celebrate your journey during a farewell dinner in downtown Helsinki. This trip requires a passport. Interflights are not included in the land price of your tour and must be purchased through us. The northern lights are in the Northern Hemisphere from September through April and are only visible when the sky is clear and free of clouds. As this tour is weather dependent, sightings of the northern lights are not guaranteed. Outdoor activities and structures are weather dependent and may be unavailable or rescheduled. Outdoor activities in months of October, early November or April may vary depending on snowfall. Finnish log cabins (small cabins) are equipped with 1 double bed, 1 bunk bed, a dining space, two bathrooms (inclusive of sink, toilet and shower), private sauna and private fireplace. Glass igloos are equipped with only a private sink and toilet. A privacy curtain lines the base of the bedroom inside the igloo. Guests will have access to a public sauna house to use the shower on their last morning.
