F ROM T HE P ASTOR : “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11) Start your Christmas celebration in a worshipful way by coming to our Christmas Eve Service at 5:00 pm. We will sing to our Savior, read the Christmas story from the gospels, and observe the Lord's Supper. We want it to be a worshipful time where our focus is primarily our Lord Jesus. Come join us in worshiping and thanking our Savior! “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11) When you think about gift-giving, would you consider giving so that the gospel will continue to be proclaimed to the whole world? Would you give to the Lottie Christmas offering? One hundred percent of what you give goes to sending missionaries overseas and to fund the ministries of those already on the field. Your gift is an investment in eternity. “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11) Many people love Christmas and all its trappings. There are people who dread Christmas because of broken relationships. Know that the salvation that Christ purchased at the cross heals not only our alienation from God but also our alienation from each other. The first and most important step for believers is to forgive the person or persons who have offended him. Forgiveness is not an emotion, but an act of the will that says to God that you will not hold anyone responsible anymore for what he or she has done to you. Just as Christ forgave us of all our sins, so we must release others of offenses they have committed against us. Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ, should be a reminder to us of this. “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11) Enjoy this time with your family. Point them to Christ. Lakan
