IN THIS ISSUE:
Nothing of spiritual significance happens apart from the Holy Spirit. And so we thank God for what He is doing in our midst. I had the privilege of getting to visit with Jazzmine Torres about the Lord Jesus last Sunday morning. Jazzmine is John and Anita Bilberry's great granddaughter. John has been bringing her to Sunday school and church, and he has been faithfully sharing Christ with her. Continued on Page 2

Investments (continued from page 1) When I sat down with Jazzmine and went over the gospel, she not only understood in her mind what Christ did, but I could sense that she has personalized it. She joyfully received the precious gift of eternal life that Jesus was offering her. Right after the morning worship, Stacy Stephenson got to visit with Chase Larmon, one of Rob and Brandi's sons, about the gospel. And Chase also received the Lord's gift of salvation. God's blessing in saving those two young kids were in addition to Nathaniel Rodriguez, Sallie's younger son, being baptized Sunday morning. The last few months, we have seen God save several people. Last Saturday, several of our college students cleaned alleys close to where one of them lives and visited with the neighbors about the Lord. Some of the
same students plus some others have been going to the Boys' and Girls' Club just to hang out with the kids there and share Christ with them. I was reading some books on spiritual awakening and one of the things that the Holy Spirit did during the Great Spiritual Awakenings was to give His people a deep burden to see the lost saved. Another thing that He did was to give His people His heart to see lost people the way He saw them. I have heard from more than one person lately that when they see people, the first thing they wonder and are burdened about is whether those people know Christ or not. My prayer is that what we are seeing are the beginnings of the Holy Spirit's fresh wind stirring in our midst.
